This role requires a strong understanding of certified payroll reporting and prevailing wage laws, ensuring accurate and timely payroll for all employees. </span><p><br><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><b>Key Responsibilities</b></span></p><ul><li><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Prepare and process weekly/biweekly payroll for 1,000+ employees, including hourly, salary, and jobsite-based staff. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Review and validate timecards, ensuring all job codes, cost centers, and classifications are correct. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Coordinate with jobsite supervisors and managers to resolve time entry discrepancies prior to payroll submission. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Process adjustments, garnishments, deductions, and reimbursements accurately and on time. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Maintain payroll tax compliance (federal, state, and local) and keep up with changes to wage/tax laws and assist with certified payroll reporting (Davis-Bacon, prevailing wage, local/state requirements). </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Assist with maintenance of timekeeping hardware (Kiosk Mode, geofencing, etc.). </span></p></li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><b>Qualifications</b></span></p><ul><li><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Certified Payroll Professional preferred </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">2+ years of payroll experience, preferably within the construction or electrical contracting industry.  </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Experience with certified payroll, multi-state payroll, and prevailing wage reporting strongly preferred. </span></p></li><li><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Proficient in payroll software (ADP, Dayforce, Viewpoint, Miter, or similar). </span></p></li><li><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Strong Excel and data reconciliation skills. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Knowledge of Davis-Bacon and state wage determination requirements. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality. </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. </span></p></li></ul><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><b>Benefits</b></span><ul><li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Competitive salary based on experience.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Career advancement and leadership development opportunities.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:12px;\">Supportive and collaborative work environment in a growing organization.</span></li></ul><br><span style=\"font-size:12px;\"><b>At Hays Electrical Services, we’re building more than electrical systems—we’re building a company grounded in integrity, quality, and service.</b><br><b>If you're passionate about payroll, compliance, and team success, we encourage you to apply and join our Houston team today.</b></span>",
