Our purpose and passion are to empower patients, their families, and our communities by helping individuals achieve recovery and optimal wellness of the mind, body, and spirit.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Job Summary</u></strong></p>\n<p>The Maintenance Technician plays an integral part in ensuring the safety of the staff and the facility is the primary responsibility of the Maintenance Technician. This role is responsible for the oversight and tracking of the functioning of the safety equipment and security measure adapted in the facility. All errors are reported timely to the appropriate leadership team member for decision making/repair options. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Duties and Responsibilities: </u></strong></p>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.</p>\n<p>The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the assembly floor and the entire facility. </li>\n <li>Detects and reports defective material or questionable conditions to the department manager. </li>\n <li>Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescription safety regulations. </li>\n <li>Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the buildings or grounds as required. </li>\n <li>Receive and respond to tenant reports of MEP or maintenance issues on their premises.</li>\n <li>Performs the installation/repair and maintenance of all building systems. </li>\n <li>Performs skilled tasks related to various trades as a leadman. </li>\n <li>Digs and back-fills trenches. </li>\n <li>Makes general repairs to buildings, door, walls, floors, windows, furniture and lockers. </li>\n <li>Maintains required records and reports relating to supplies, parts, equipment, work performed and in compliance with JACO, OSHA (list standards) </li>\n <li>Operates, cleans and maintains a variety of equipment.</li>\n <li>Clean debris and dust from the assigned areas.</li>\n <li>Cleans both exterior and interior job sites and vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment. </li>\n <li>Conducts oneself in the best interest of the clients and staff.</li>\n <li>Use specialized equipment such as blowers and mowers to perform cleaning duties.</li>\n <li>Perform both major and minor repair work around the building such as repairing locks and installing window blinds.</li>\n <li>Replace broken windows and door locks.</li>\n <li>Evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in the building. </li>\n <li>Remove signs of graffiti from walls and windows.</li>\n <li>Install and repair electrical wiring and replace bulbs, capacitors, etc.</li>\n <li>Inspect company equipment for possible problems and report findings.</li>\n <li>Take measures to perform maintenance on equipment and tools.</li>\n <li>Perform general maintenance on sanitary and mechanical systems of buildings.</li>\n <li>Collect waste from ashtrays and bins and ensure proper waste management procedures are </li>\n <li>carried out.</li>\n <li>Assist with construction or remodeling projects.</li>\n <li>Move furniture and equipment upon instruction.</li>\n <li>Maintain the overall condition of the building and grounds.</li>\n <li>Make sure that the grounds are free of leaves or trash</li>\n <li>Perform inspection of the premises and ensure that any hazardous conditions are immediately taken care of.</li>\n <li>Compliance to all AAC – policies, process, and procedures </li>\n <li>All other duties as assigned – please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Education/Experience:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equipment </li>\n <li>Minimum of 2 years experience plumbing, electrical, carpentry or general building maintenance preferred.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated knowledge of the use and maintenance of trades tools and equipment. </li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups, and effectively communicate, both orally and in writing. (English) </li>\n <li>Possess a valid State of Texas Driver’s License.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Certificates and Licenses:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certified Maintenance Technician, preferred </li>\n <li>Certified HVAC technician, preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Heavy work: exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 30 pounds of force as needed to move objects. </li>\n <li>The ability to respond to sounds quickly </li>\n <li>The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces </li>\n <li>The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations </li>\n <li>The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying additional weight </li>\n <li>The ability to work in extreme weather conditions </li>\n <li>The ability to wear protective gear correctly </li>\n <li>Must be able to complete and pass a work-related physical evaluation </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Physical Requirements</u></strong></p>\n<p>AAC is committed to principles of equal opportunities for all employees.
