Description
At Apex, we believe our people are the foundation of our success. We're looking for a driven, relationship-focused Talent Acquisition Specialist to help us attract, engage, and hire exceptional talent across our organization.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the full talent acquisition lifecycle, from sourcing and hiring exceptional talent to supporting a seamless onboarding experience for new employees. You will partner closely with hiring leaders and candidates to deliver a positive and engaging experience at every stage of the employee journey.
What You'll Do
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from intake to onboarding.
Partner with hiring leaders to understand business needs, define hiring requirements, and develop effective recruitment strategies.
Create and post compelling job advertisements that attract qualified candidates.
Source candidates through various channels, including LinkedIn, Indeed, professional networks, referrals, and direct outreach.
Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
Conduct candidate screening, interviews, and assessments to evaluate qualifications, competencies, and organizational fit.
Coordinate and facilitate all stages of the interview process.
Prepare candidate summaries, shortlists, and hiring recommendations for leaders.
Complete reference checks and other pre-employment requirements as needed.
Support offer negotiations and guide candidates through the offer and onboarding process.
Maintain accurate and confidential records within our HRIS and recruitment systems.
Coordinate and manage the employee onboarding from offer acceptance through successful integration into the organization.
Prepare and maintain onboarding documentation, ensuring all pre-employment and new hire requirements are completed accurately and on time.
Serve as a primary point of contact for new employees during the onboarding process.
Monitor onboarding progress and gather feedback to continuously enhance the experience.
Support employee transitions and contribute to initiatives that promote engagement, retention, and a positive employee experience.

What You Bring
Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding within a technical field services, engineering, geomatics, construction, or industrial services organization is considered a strong asset.
Experience sourcing passive candidates through direct outreach and networking strategies.
Demonstrated ability to leverage professional networks, recruiting software, and social media platforms to identify, attract, and engage talent.
Experienced in candidate vetting, screening, and utilizing risk-based assessment methods to identify high-quality candidates and ensure strong organizational fit.
Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple recruitment projects and competing priorities.
Experience using HRIS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, indeed, and online sourcing tools.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of employment legislation and recruitment best practices.
Ability to coordinate and support employee onboarding activities, ensuring a seamless transition from candidate to employee.
