    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Job Summary: &nbsp;Part-time - M-F 4pm - 8pm</u></strong></p><p>The Environmental Technician is responsible for executing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment in the hospital.</p><p><strong><u>Functions and Duties:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Observe and follow safety/organizational/departmental procedures and policies at all times.</li><li>Perform housekeeping functions and established methods.</li><li>Clean patient rooms, offices, rest rooms, janitor closets, store rooms &nbsp;exam rooms, delivery rooms, operating rooms and clinics with the approved cleaning methods.</li><li>Follow directives from Environmental Services leadership.</li><li>Report to the department office and receive assignment.</li><li>Collect necessary equipment and supplies and proceed directly to work area.</li><li>High dust and low dust horizontal surfaces.</li><li>Sanitize and spot clean all horizontal surfaces.</li><li>Damp wipe and clean all furniture.</li><li>Perform checkout room cleaning.</li><li>Spot clean walls, windows and polish metal surfaces.</li><li>Vacuum carpet/sweep/mop in patient rooms and other areas.</li><li>Spot clean carpet as assigned.</li><li>Assist in cleaning of emergency spills, observed or upon request.</li><li>Demonstrate the correct use of chemicals and supplies.</li><li>Replenish supplies.</li><li>Input bed tracking and other required information into the computer daily or as needed.</li><li>Learn and apply the principles of &nbsp;regular discharges with a 30-minute turnaround.</li><li>Learn and apply the principles of terminal cleaning with a 55 min turnaround.</li><li>Performs all other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Minimum Qualifications:</u></strong></p><p><u>Education</u></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.</li></ul><p><u>Experience</u></p><ul><li>Training in the various areas of housekeeping i.e. patient room cleaning, office cleaning, restroom cleaning etc.&nbsp;</li><li>One to six months experience in healthcare setting preferred.</li></ul><p><u>Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations</u></p><ul><li>None.</li></ul><p><u>Skills and Abilities</u></p><ul><li>Knowledge of the various types of cleaning techniques for hospital cleaning to include: dusting, wet mopping, sanitizing, vacuuming, rest room cleaning, trash removal etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to apply commonsense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instruction; to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in or from standardized situations.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Physical Demands:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Medium work; exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or greater than negligible up to10 pounds consistently to move object.&nbsp;</li><li>Required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.&nbsp;</li><li>The employee must frequently lift, push or pull up to 50lbs.</li><li>Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.</li><li>Mentally able to understand and carry out oral and written commonsense instructions.</li><li>Must be able to stand 4 to 8 hours. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to transport heavy linen carts.</li><li>Must have the ability to use all Floor Care Equipment.</li><li>Must be able to stand extreme temperatures. &nbsp;</li></ul></div></div></div>\n<br/>Part-time -  Monday - Friday, 4pm - 8pm",
