    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "Job Description \n<p>Performs a variety of duties to prepare unit for cardiac catheterization or other invasive as well as non-invasive procedures.</p>\n<p>Job Responsibility</p>\n<p>Performs a variety of duties to prepare unit for cardiac catheterization or other invasive as well as non-invasive procedures.<br/> Prepares sterile trays for invasive procedures.<br/> Ensures all instrumentation/equipment for each procedure is presented on the table in the established fashion.<br/> Prepares patient for invasive diagnostic procedures.<br/> Admits patient by entering data into computer system.<br/> Ensures patients are correctly prepped and draped in a sterile fashion.<br/> Responds to patient’s questions alleviating concerns regarding procedure.<br/> Performs various duties during catheterization procedure.<br/> Monitors patient during procedure, i.e., electrocardiogram, blood pressure, chest pain. &nbsp;May administer oxygen and nitroglycerin, as needed, under direct supervision of physician performing procedure.<br/> Collects all pertinent diagnostic data and all necessary calculations for physician’s interpretation of results. Correctly balances, calibrates and records appropriate hemodynamic data. &nbsp;Performs blood gas determinations using oximeter method while handling blood in a safe and appropriate manner.<br/> Intervenes in cardiopulmonary emergencies effectively.<br/> Assists in handling emergencies until physician takes over.<br/> Interacts with health care team appropriately.<br/> Performs laboratory test procedures within established criteria.<br/> Operates all cardiac equipment properly in a reliable manner, per departmental standards, complying with all safety guidelines/policies.<br/> May perform various x-ray exams if qualified licensed Radiology Technologist, as necessary.<br/> Performs related duties, as required.</p>\n<p>Job Qualification</p>\n<p>Bachelor’s Degree in Cardio Respiratory Science or related field, required, to ensure knowledge of Cardiovascular System, Anatomy and Physiology.<br/> OR&nbsp;<br/> Graduate of an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), required.<br/> OR&nbsp;<br/> Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology and current NYS Radiologic Technologist License, required.<br/> BCLS and ACLS, required.<br/> Certification in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology, preferred.<br><b>*Additional Salary Detail</b><br>\n  The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).</p>",
