    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>This position will offer you the opportunity to work in a project team environment in the design, modification, and/or upgrade of new and existing power plant electrical systems</li>\n <li>Under the direction of the Electrical Project Lead, you will work with multi-disciplined engineering and design project teams in the development of the following:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Single-line diagrams</li>\n   <li>Relay and metering diagrams</li>\n   <li>AC and DC schematic diagrams</li>\n   <li>Synchronizing diagrams</li>\n   <li>Point to point wiring diagrams</li>\n   <li>Cable schedules</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>You will check drawings produced by other personnel, as well as review and incorporate vendor drawings into the overall project design</li>\n <li>Independently and as a member of a design team, investigate, trouble-shoot, and solve a wide variety of electrical wiring design issues</li>\n <li>There may be the opportunity to accompany and assist in field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities</li>\n <li>Provide guidance to others in the use of drafting tools, and also as a mentor in the development of less experienced drafters and designers</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Essential skills and experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>An Associate's Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience</li>\n <li>Four or more years of detailed wiring design experience in the development of single-line, and relay and metering diagrams, including medium-voltage and 480V systems</li>\n <li>Familiarity with digital control systems</li>\n <li>The ability to perform the following:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Produce wiring diagrams and schematics for installers and electricians</li>\n   <li>Assist engineers with initial design requirements</li>\n   <li>Conceptualize plans and details to accurately convey wiring termination requirements</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Extensive AutoCAD and/or Microstation design experience on power plants or large facility projects</li>\n <li>A thorough understanding of drafting and design practices and theories</li>\n <li>The ability to interface and communicate with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the power plant design process</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Valued but not required skills and experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>A 4-year degree related to Electrical or Electronics Engineering</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Award-Winning Benefits</h2>\n<p>At Sargent & Lundy, we care about the health and well-being of our employees.
