    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Opportunity: </span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>BluMetric is looking for full time Water / Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Trainee. The trainee’s will work closely with our seasoned operators on the operation of various filtering and chemical treatment processes and maintaining the water and wastewater treatment plant and facilities in accordance with federal, provincial / territorial, and municipal legislation, policies, and standards. The successful candidates will also assist with troubleshooting and adjusting the Wastewater Treatment processes as required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is a great opportunity to join an experienced team, working on a large-scale project in Yellowknife.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operate and monitor computerized control systems and related equipment in chemical dosing and reactor tanks and water filtration clarifier to regulate the treatment and distribution of mine effluent.</li>\n<li>Complete daily operations monitoring sheets, including parameters to be measured and pH (typical values are between 6.5 and 9), turbidity, and flow.</li>\n<li>Consistent and accurate operation of chemical dosing systems, and proper performance of clarification and filtration equipment.</li>\n<li>Regular systems checks to ensure equipment is working correctly and accurately.</li>\n<li>Collect and test samples of effluent, employing analysis standards and testing equipment, to ensure treated water meets standards.</li>\n<li>Communicate with supervisors, coworkers, other employees and upper management regarding operations, plant conditions and other essential information.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with upper management to determine the best practices, equipment, upgrades and other operational aspects to contribute to ecologically friendly, cost-effective impacts of the facility’s water treatment.</li>\n<li>Support environmental department with routine sampling as time allows.</li>\n<li>Complete reports summarizing treatment, operations maintenance, and efficiencies of the water treatment plant.</li>\n<li>Work will be conducted at a mine site near Yellowknife.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Qualifications, Education, and Skills:</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in water treatment or similar transferable experience is not required, but an asset.</li>\n<li>Experience with Indigenous/First Nations is an asset.</li>\n<li>Experience working on a mine site is an asset.</li>\n<li>Must be willing to do shiftwork (weekends and evenings included).</li>\n<li>A valid drivers license (may be asked to provide a drivers abstract (3 years)).</li>\n<li>A post-secondary training course or diploma in a related field is considered an asset.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About BluMetric Environmental Inc.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p>BluMetric Environmental Inc. (BluMetric) is a publicly traded water technology and environmental engineering firm.
