This role involves strategic planning, process optimization, supplier management, and risk mitigation to achieve operational excellence and cost savings</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Develop and maintain supply chain strategies and procedures to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance throughout areas of primary responsibility.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work with internal stakeholders including sales and finance teams, to align supply chain activities with business objectives, demand forecasts, and production schedules.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">This person will be a member of both regional and global supply chain teams to help standardize and improve best practices on a global level.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Manage vendor contracts, negotiating terms, pricing, and service agreements to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.</li></ul><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics, such as inventory turnover, on-time delivery, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions.</li></ul></div><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Optimize inventory management processes, including demand planning, inventory control, and stock replenishment, to minimize stockouts, excess inventory, and carrying costs.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Implement supply chain risk management strategies, assessing potential risks, vulnerabilities, and disruptions, and developing contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions.</li></ul><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work with colleagues managing import/export and regulatory procedures as related to supply chain matters to ensure compliance.</li></ul></div><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Provide leadership and mentorship to direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous learning, development, and collaboration within the team.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Analyze market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies in supply chain management, staying updated on best practices and innovations to drive continuous improvement.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Communicate supply chain goals, objectives, and performance metrics to senior management and key stakeholders, presenting regular updates, reports, and recommendations.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Requirements and Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Master&rsquo;s degree in supply chain management or a related field. 10 years&rsquo; experience working in a similar role.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Previous work experience sourcing parts such as custom machined parts, electronic components and assemblies as well as optical components.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Proven experience in supply chain and inventory management, with a track record of success in optimizing processes and driving operational improvements.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams as well as regional and global committees.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a focus on long-term vision, goal setting, and execution of supply chain strategies to achieve business objectives.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Proficiency in use of SAP</li></ul><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team</li></ul></div><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities.</li></ul><p><br></p><p data-pasted=\"true\">Compensation Package:</p><p>HORIBA Instruments offers a competitive compensation package that includes a 401(k) plan with match;
