Let our craftsmen create the metal products you need.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Overview: </span>As a member of our sheet metal field crew, you will join a team of skilled tradespeople who take pride in their work. You will put your own skills and knowledge to the test to ensure that the quality production and installation of our finished product is second to none. To be a good fit for this role, you MUST not be afraid of heights, you MUST have a positive work ethic, and you MUST have previous work experience installing commercial duct systems.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set and operate fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal, shaping metal</li>\n<li>Perform inspections of all fabricated pieces to ensure parts meet engineered drawing specifications</li>\n<li>Utilize calipers, heights gages, and other measuring equipment as needed to meet drawing specifications</li>\n<li>Operate hand tools such as drill presses, grinders, orbital sanders, etc.</li>\n<li>Interpret blueprints and drawings; follow technical guides</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot installation issues of fabricated duct systems</li>\n<li>Ensure equipment is maintained and serviceable</li>\n<li>Follow all company and job site safety protocols</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned by management</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills &amp; Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or GED</li>\n<li>REQUIRED <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">2+</span>years of structural assembly experience – sheet metal – assembly – fabrication</li>\n<li>Ability to work from heights for prolonged periods of time</li>\n<li>Ability to walk stairs/climb ladders for prolonged periods of time</li>\n<li>Able to read and interpret blueprints</li>\n<li>Able to perform basic math functions and use math formulas by solving dimensional problems</li>\n<li>Must be capable of performing tasks that frequently require lifting, reaching, bending, walking, pulling, sitting, standing, crouching, stooping, and kneeling for prolonged periods of time</li>\n<li>Able to lift at least 50 lbs.</li>\n<li>Skills at using hand tools for riveting and drilling</li>\n<li>A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently</li>\n<li>Requires the ability to use a phone and tablet to input data, such as timecard information, emails, etc.</li>\n<li>Bilingual (Spanish) a plus for this role</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Location:</span> 218 East Lathrop Avenue, Savannah, GA 31415</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Working Environment:</span> Work is typically performed while standing at heights, in varying work locations.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Salary: </span>$20/hour, depending on skills &amp; experience</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits: </span>Delta Metals has a generous benefits package to include Medical, dental vision, life, long and short-term disability, as well as accident, cancer, and critical illness plans, HSA, 401K, Vacation &amp; sick time, and 6 paid company holidays.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>It is the policy of Delta Metals, Inc. not to discriminate against any applicant for employment, or any employee because of age, color, sex, disability, national origin, race, religion, or veteran status.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>",
