Duties include sweeping, mopping, waxing, and buffing floors in assigned <br>areas, ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are consistently met.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(14, 16, 26); font-size: 16px\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities:</span><br>• Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and buff floors in patient areas, offices, hallways, and other <br>designated spaces.<br>• Maintain appropriate levels of cleanliness in compliance with organizational and regulatory <br>standards.<br>• Operate floor care equipment, including buffers, auto-scrubbers, and burnishers, safely <br>and effectively.<br>• Follow established procedures for handling and mixing cleaning solutions and chemicals.<br>• Perform routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any <br>issues to the supervisor.<br>• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of floor care supplies and equipment.<br>• Ensure proper signage is placed during floor care activities to prevent accidents or falls.<br>• Adhere to infection control policies and safety protocols at all times.<br>• Collaborate with Environmental Services and Facilities teams to address cleaning and <br>maintenance needs.<br>• Perform other cleaning or maintenance duties as assigned.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(14, 16, 26); font-size: 16px\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills / Abilities:</span><br>• Knowledge of floor care procedures, equipment, and cleaning solutions.<br>• Attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and floor appearance.<br>• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including prolonged standing and lifting.<br>• Strong organizational and time management skills.<br>• Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(14, 16, 26); font-size: 16px\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education, Certificates, and License:</span><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education:</span><br>• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience:</span><br>• Prior experience in floor care or custodial work preferred but not required.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(14, 16, 26); font-size: 16px\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements:</span><br>• Lifting: Regularly lift and move items up to 50 lbs.<br>• Mobility: Frequent walking, bending, stooping, and kneeling during shifts.<br>• Posture: Prolonged standing while operating floor care equipment.<br>• Dexterity: Adequate motor skills to handle cleaning tools and equipment safely.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(14, 16, 26); font-size: 16px\"><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EEOC Statement:</span><br>Harrison County Community Hospital District provides equal employment opportunities to all <br>employees and applicants and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type, without regard <br>to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, <br>sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by law.</span></p>",
