The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family. &nbsp;</strong></p><p><br></p><p>CPN Health Services personnel may be assigned to provide services to patients of all ages including but not limited to Indian Children and will require a criminal history background screening.</p><p><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong> &nbsp;This position is responsible for digital film radiography of the head, neck, spine, chest, and extremities.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Prepares room, equipment, and materials as needed for patients.</li><li>Cleans and disinfects mammography room and equipment.</li><li>Assesses the developmental needs of patients from infant to geriatric and adjusts service, treatment and instruction &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;appropriately.</li><li>Follows prescribed techniques in administering general and specific radiology exams. (adjusts equipment; determines proper voltage, current and desired exposure time; arranges immobilization and support devices to obtain position of patient, adjust lead shield, uses collimation of x-ray beam, utilizes accessory equipment to acquire images and selects a proper image size.)</li><li>Review and evaluate x-rays to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.</li><li>Explains procedures to patients to insure safety and comfort during the procedure.</li><li>Knowledgeable in DR techniques.</li><li>Knowledgeable in radiological quality control.</li><li>Prepares images for a reading by radiologist.</li><li>Knowledgeable in the teleradiology system in use.</li><li>Knowledgeable in I H S/RIS system of RPMS.</li><li>Assists in care and maintenance of facilities, equipment and supplies.&nbsp;</li><li>Keeps work area clean. Maintains stock supplies and performs general office duties; writes reports and schedules patients &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;for examinations.</li><li>Participates in clinic wide quality improvement activities and programs as directed.</li><li>Gives patient instructions as to the type of preparation needed for all types of imaging examinations.</li><li>Responsible for entering reports after read by radiologist.</li></ul><p><strong>RADIATION SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Checking aprons and other shielding devices for cracks or leaks in lead.</li></ul><p><strong>ADDITIONAL</strong> <strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Perform other duties and projects as required by Administration and Management</li></ul><p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.</li><li>A graduate of an approved school of radiology technology.</li><li>Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or ability to obtain certification.</li></ul><p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Long term standing or sitting</li><li>Repetitive computer work</li><li>Bending, stretching, kneeling and moderate to heavy lifting is required</li><li>May be seated for prolonged periods of time</li></ul><p><strong>ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:</strong></p><p>General clinical environment with frequent exposure to chemicals, blood borne pathogens and patient body fluids.</p><p><strong>Note</strong>: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by an employee in this position.
