This role is responsible for the precise application of&#xa0;P401&#xa0;protective coatings to the interior of pipes and fittings, ensuring corrosion resistance and longevity.</p><p>This role requires meticulous surface preparation, accurate mixing and application of coating materials, and adherence to quality control standards.</p><p><strong><u>Scope of Responsibilities</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ensure&#xa0;personal safety and the safety of your team members.&#xa0;</li><li>Assists supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.&#xa0;</li><li>Wear&#xa0;appropriate PPE, including fall protection, respiratory protection, hearing protection, foot, hand, head, and eye protection.&#xa0;</li><li>Responsible for the cleanliness of the assigned work area.</li><li>Proactively promote&#xa0;the McWane Way principles.&#xa0;&#xa0;</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><ul><li><strong>Surface Preparation:</strong><ul><li>Thoroughly clean and prepare pipe and fitting surfaces, including removing rust, scale, and other contaminants through methods like sandblasting, wire brushing, and or chemical cleaning.<ul><li>Mask or protect areas not requiring coating.</li></ul></li></ul></li><li><strong>Coating Application:</strong><ul><li>Accurately mix and prepare&#xa0;P401&#xa0;coating materials according to manufacturer specifications.</li><li>Apply coatings using appropriate techniques, such as spraying, brushing, or rolling, ensuring uniform thickness and coverage.</li><li>Monitor and control environmental conditions (temperature, humidity) to ensure proper coating adhesion and curing.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Quality Control:</strong><ul><li>Inspect coated surfaces for defects, such as pinholes, blisters, or unevenness.</li><li>Perform quality control tests, such as thickness measurements and spark testing, to verify coating integrity.<ul><li>Maintain accurate records of coating applications and inspections.</li></ul></li></ul></li><li><strong>Safety:</strong><ul><li>Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).</li><li>Handle and dispose of coating materials and solvents safely.</li><li>Work in defined workspaces as required, following all safety procedures.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Equipment Maintenance:</strong><ul><li>Clean and maintain coating application equipment, ensuring proper functionality.</li></ul></li></ul>",

          "text": "<p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong>&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Experience in industrial coating application, preferably with epoxy or similar materials.</li><li>Knowledge of surface preparation techniques.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and safety data sheets (SDS).</li><li>Proficiency in using coating application equipment.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and quality.</li><li>Ability to work in and through varying environmental conditions.</li><li>Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.</li><li>The ability to lift heavy objects, and to stand, and walk for long periods of time.</li><li>Possibly having certifications related to coating application.</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong><u>Position Requirements</u></strong></p><ul><li>Standing, walking, stooping, balancing, kneeling, reaching, and sitting are some of the physical requirements.</li><li>Must be able to meet and adhere to physical requirements as well as wearing the appropriate PPE (steel toed boots, safety glasses, hearing protection and mask).</li><li>Will be required to work in the following conditions: heat, cold, noise, and vibration.</li><li>Must be able to work in dust and fumes.</li><li>Must have the ability to operate forklift or overhead crane.</li><li>Possible overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.</li><li>Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.</li><li>Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.</li></ul>",
