Description

We’re building ‘the’ Teaching Hospital for pediatric therapy — a category of one by driving excellence in outcomes, developing clinicians, building payer trust, and embedding systems across what we do. Bierman Autism Centers is looking for a full-time & center-based Clinician in Training to join a motivated and energetic team focused on transforming the lives of children diagnosed with autism while building a fun and creative culture at work. Every little detail of your work adds up to something that will amaze you. You will be committed and focused on helping parents and their child grow on their terms. You will constantly challenge yourself to gain new skills, try new methods and adapt to be better to help each child. Our one-on-one approach is focused on natural play to teach foundational skills our kids can build on, such as self-advocacy and communication. Every child’s success is unique! We continually challenge ourselves to do anything it takes to enable our kids to reach their potential on their terms. The Details: Our centers are open Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am – 5pm. We primarily work with children between the ages of 2-9 in a center-based environment. The Clinician in Training is an entry level Behavior Analyst role that is designed to give the candidate a hands-on training experience by pairing them with an experienced BCBA who will serve as their mentor as they go through the CiT Training sequence. The CiT has a primary responsibility to accelerate client success through responsibilities delegated by their assigned BCBA mentor. By sharing a caseload and pod, the mentor BCBA will serve as a model as the CiT learns all of the responsibilities and tasks that they would need to complete as a Behavior Analyst. Training Timeline Phase 1: shadowing and completing assigned non-billable tasks. Mentor BA models team training and once CiT tests with appropriate fidelity they can also take over team training outside of consult overlap time. Phase 2: Mentor BA models and tests probing programming targets, conducting assessments, and making programming changes. Mentor BA starts to delegate non-billable consult time dedicated to both team training and programming updates. Phase 3: Mentor BA overlaps as CiT starts to run the consults independently. Fun and Challenging Responsibilities for our Clinicians in Training: Share a caseload with an experienced BA in the center who serves as a mentor and coach Assist with the PS tasks related to shared clients Create materials for learners on caseload (after completion of MRS training) Assist in the maintenance and organization of the therapy materials for learners on caseload Assist with CST for new hires who will be entering pod as assigned by BCBA Assist with BIC’s as assigned by BCBA Assist with ongoing integrity checks and training BTs on new programming implemented by BCBA Assists with the completion of monthly progress reports Sits in on parent meetings, assists with material preparation for parent meetings and trainings Assists with creating and changing charts and updating data sheets following a shared consult Why Bierman? Comprehensive benefits are offered for full-time employees. This includes: PTO, Holiday Pay, 401k, Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, Short- and Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Pet Insurance, HSAs, FSAs, and so much more! Pay is competitive and based on candidate qualifications and experience. Growth and advancement opportunities are available. We host on-site trainings, student supervision, tuition reimbursement, and student loan assistance, and more. You’ll be part of a passionate, empathetic, and supportive team. We have Spirit Weeks, Pajama Days, Trivia Nights, Monthly Wellness Competitions and other optional engagement events throughout the year.
