Your voice matters here—use it to build the future, make an impact, and continuously improve the guest experience.</p><p><br></p><p>As the Banquet Captain, you are responsible for effectively acting as an authority/go-to person in the absence of the Banquet Manager. To provide guests with quality food and service in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE</strong></p><ul><li>Possesses extensive professional knowledge and expertise in their specific function.</li><li>Assignments and projects are in-depth and extensive in scope and complexity.</li><li>Makes decisions within specific guidelines.</li><li>Introduce yourself to contact person of event, make sure their requests are clear and properly executed by staff. Follow BEO requirements.</li><li>Maintain proper uniform; clean and free of excessive wrinkles</li><li>Set up banquet room(s) as instructed including linen and china</li><li>Follow health and safety practices at all times</li><li>All prep work must be completed prior to event start time</li><li>Serve food and/or beverage; ensuring consistency throughout event</li><li>Respond promptly to any guest request</li><li>Set up buffets (as needed) to the standards established by the restaurant management</li><li>Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude and mannerism</li><li>Maintain clear and open communication between all staff for overall event success</li><li>During event, maintain all work areas including any side work duties for overall productivity and success of the event</li><li>Keep tally all consumed beverages and food items and any AV equipment used for event. Ring out BEO and provide the copy to sales/catering staff for payment.</li><li>Respect all of your co-workers and managers</li><li>Have fun at work; leave baggage at the door; come to work with a positive attitude ready and willing to help create a fun and memorable experience for our guests</li><li>Once banquet is complete, all linen, silverware, china and trays must be removed from space</li></ul><p>GHG24</p>",
