Description

Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are seeking an experienced Environmental Planner to join our team in our Raleigh, NC office. The ideal candidate has experience in environmental permitting and an understanding of DOT processes. As the successful new hire, you will specialize in transportation planning; have general knowledge of regulatory permitting and will have some project management or task lead experience; join a multidisciplinary team of planning and natural resource specialists who support infrastructure projects across the Southeast region and nationwide; and support the Environmental team to strategically plan their projects and coordinate with regulators and other stakeholders to accomplish their project goals while also avoiding, minimizing, and mitigating potential environmental and other community impacts, including: environmental documentation (NEPA/SEPA), research and analysis, report writing, regulatory permitting, and compliance tasks for a variety of infrastructure (e.g., highway, roadway, rail, water, waterfront, and port) related projects.
