Typically perform work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding. Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Use hand and power tools to test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment. Use blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. May train or check the work of other facilities staff. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.<br /><br />Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.</p><p></p><p>This role is not eligible for relocation assistance. This is a full time role. Preferred location is Chubbuck, ID but open to Idaho Falls as primary work location. Please note, this person will have to travel between both chapter offices and occasionally across the region.</p><p></p><div><p><i><span>The hourly range for this position is</span><span><span> </span></span><span>: </span></i><span>$20.34-$21.70/hr. </span></p></div><div><p><i><span>Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed. Other factors that may be used to<span> </span></span><span>determine</span><span><span> </span>your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you<span> </span></span><span>have</span><span><span> </span>and<span> </span></span><span>comparison</span><span><span> </span>to other employees already in this role.</span></i><span> </span></p></div><p></p></div></div></div><p><i><b>WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):   </b></i></p><ul><li><p>Maintain and repair organization&#39;s facilities and properties involving routine tasks and responsibilities.  Correct minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural problems.  Paint structures and equipment as needed.  Document installation and repairs as required by regulatory agencies.</p></li><li><p>Repair appliances and equipment.  Operate and service boilers, chillers, motors, fans, pumps and related mechanical equipment.  Estimate time and material costs of various projects.  Requisition new supplies and equipment.</p></li><li><p>Review maintenance records to identify recurring deficiencies; plan and implement corrective maintenance or repairs.</p></li><li><p>May troubleshoot and repair all building HVAC related equipment.</p></li><li><p>Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.</p></li><li><p>Will drive vehicle to other locations.</p></li></ul><p></p><p>Scope: Considerable knowledge of job. Complete acquaintance with and understanding of general and detailed aspects of the job. Contact with individuals representing other departments and/or representing outside organizations.</p><p></p><p><i><b>WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):</b></i></p><ul><li><p>Education: High School or equivalent required. May require a trade license.</p></li><li><p>Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.  Related experience includes skill and knowledge of painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work is required. </p></li><li><p>Management Experience: N/A</p></li><li><p>Skills &amp; Abilities: Previous truck and/or bus driving experience is desirable.
