The Opportunity We’re seeking a motivated Surveyor with a background in civil construction and/or engineering who is ready to jump-start their career with a company that has a long-standing history in BC roadbuilding. With a diverse fleet of equipment, a supportive team, and opportunities for professional growth, you’ll play a valuable role in projects that make a difference in communities across the province. As a Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in supporting the layout and measurement of civil construction projects in the field. From staking and topographic surveys to as-builts and inspections, your work will ensure accuracy and precision across every phase of construction. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, thrives in hands-on environments This role is based out of Kelowna, with the possibility of travel to out-of-town projects on a rotational schedule. If you are positive, people-oriented, and eager to grow in the civil construction industry, this could be the role for you! Your Key Responsibilities Perform a variety of survey tasks including topographic surveys, as-builts, and construction staking (slope, grade, road, and development). Interpret engineered drawings and translate them into accurate field layouts. Accurately measure and record field data with a high level of detail and precision. Communicate daily with Supervisors and Project Managers to ensure alignment and clarity. Compile and complete survey reports and documentation. Maintain a strong focus on safety and follow all safe work practices. Support general labour duties as needed to assist the project team. Your Qualifications & Skills Successfully completed or working towards a certification in Geomatics. Have a strong work ethic and work well in a team environment. Be willing to travel within the province for work. Natural ability to solve problems, communicate clearly and effectively. Be flexible and willing to work night shifts if required. Enjoy working outdoors in a fast-paced and challenging environment. Valid Canadian driver’s license with a clean driving abstract required. Physically capable of walking on uneven terrain, climbing slopes, and carrying 20 kilograms.
