    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p>Education/Experience<br>• High school or equivalent preferred.<br>• On-the-job training provided.</p>\n<p>Essential Job Functions <br>• Sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., and separate those items that require special stain removal/treatment. <br>• Sort, count, and wash soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., in accordance with established procedures. <br>• Fold, count, stack, hang, and distribute clean laundry, linen, garments, etc., to resident/patients daily and/or as instructed. <br>• Distribute clean laundry, linen, garments, etc., to designated areas as instructed during emergency conditions. <br>• Replenish laundry chemicals in machines as necessary, following appropriate safety procedures. <br>• Clean work/supply carts, equipment, etc., as necessary.<br>• Clean and store equipment properly at end of shift. <br>• Notify supervisor of equipment and supply needs.<br>• Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by supervisor including special projects. <br>• Maintain punctual and regular attendance on the job site.<br>• Ability to handle reasonably necessary stress.<br>• Develop and maintain a good working relationship with staff, resident/patients, and visitors. <br>• Remain alert and awake on the job. <br><br>Responsibilities<br>• Ensure adequate laundry supplies to perform daily task is maintained. <br>• Ensure that laundry schedules are followed. <br>• Ensure the use of appropriate personal protective equipment and supplies when handling infectious material and/or hazardous wastes or chemicals. <br>• Ensure that department is maintained in a clean and safe manner. <br>• Participate in staff development programs and staff meetings. <br>• Carry out assignments in a prompt and efficient manner. <br>• Report immediately any work related injury, occupational exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemical to the supervisor. <br>• Follow established infection control procedures when performing duties. <br>• Report immediately all grievances and complaints, all allegations of resident/patient abuse, neglect and/or misappropriation of resident/patient property, all incident/accidents, no matter how minor, all unsafe/hazardous conditions or defective equipment, either by resident/patients or family to supervisor. <br>• Maintain confidentiality of resident/patient and company information. <br>• Treat all resident/patients fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect. <br>• Comply with policies and procedures.<br>• Adhere to work assignments.<br>• Adhere to dress code.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Specific Requirements<br>• Must be able to read and write the English language. <br>• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions concerning the mixing of laundry detergents and other liquids.<br>• Must possess the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.<br>• Must possess flexibility. <br>• Must demonstrate sensitivity to the special needs of resident/patients. <br><br>Working Conditions<br>• Subject to frequent interruptions.<br>• Subject to being involved with resident/patients, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances. <br>• Subject to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary. <br>• Subject to call-back during emergency conditions. <br>• Subject to hostile and emotionally upset resident/patients, family members, personnel, and visitors. <br>• Subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc. including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses. <br>• Subject to handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals. <br>• Subject to working around resident/patients’ pets (animals).<br><br>Physical Requirements <br>• Must be able to move about consistently throughout the workday. <br>• Must be able to reach, bend, and/or stoop intermittently throughout the workday. <br>• Must be able to walk/stand 75% of the day. <br>• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry up to 50 pounds utilizing proper body mechanics and assistance. <br>• Must be able to push, pull, or move a minimum of 100 pounds utilizing proper body mechanics and assistance.<br>• Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n",
