Reporting to the Regional Systems Engineering Manager, you'll be working alongside some of the most skilled networking engineers in the industry. Our team prides itself on not just understanding the technology but also the business impact and aligning our solutions with the larger goals of our clients. In collaboration with our Product Management and Software Development teams, you will play a pivotal role in steering product developments, offerings, and strategic direction to best serve our customers and prospects. Supported by the expertise of our world class Arista TAC, Professional Services, cutting-edge proof-of-concept resources, and support of the executive team, you are well-positioned to lead and innovate within the industry.&#xa0;</p><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><p>As a critical member of the Arista Systems Engineering team, you will act as a trusted advisor to our customers, gathering requirements,&#xa0; qualifying opportunities, and designing solutions&#xa0; with existing and new customers in Northern California.</p><ul><li><p>Collaborate with Arista Account Managers to gain an in-depth understanding of our enterprise and commercial clients and conduct whiteboard network architectural designs to develop solutions that improve network performance, efficiency and customer TCO.</p></li><li><p>Conduct Arista product presentations of Arista's Data Center Networking&#xa0; and Cognitive Campus (including Wi-Fi) networking solutions, CloudVision (Network Automation), Security (Network Detection), Endpoint Security (NAC), and Real-time network observability solutions</p></li><li><p>Utilize your expertise in network design and implementation; including leaf and spine architectures leveraging overlay technologies such as VxLAN and EVPN, to create consistent and highly scalable Arista Data Center and Campus network solutions that improve network performance and efficiency for our enterprise and commercial clients in the region</p></li><li><p>Work with the&#xa0; customer and Arista proof-of-concept team to validate&#xa0; Data Center and/or Campus network designs, and network deployments using the latest Arista solutions.&#xa0;</p></li><li><p>Offer design guidelines, and work with Arista Professional Services to provide recommendations and turn-key solutions to our clients and prospects These recommendations will balance specific customer needs with proven Arista Validated Designs to meet the specific needs of our clients and designed to optimize their network infrastructure.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with the sales team to respond to RFP/RFQs and provide valuable customer feedback to Product Management and Engineering.</p></li><li><p>Through your expertise and insights, you will help to ensure that Arista network solutions meet the needs of our clients and prospects in the region. As a member of the Arista Sales Engineering team, you will help drive features, functions, and product development through your feedback and help shape the future of our network solutions.</p></li><li><p>Serve as a representative of Arista at SDN and other Open Networking industry events and conferences.           "text": "<ul><li><p>Network Industry Certification preferred, such as ACE-L4, ACE-L6, ACE-L7, and others.</p></li><li><p>Minimum of 5 years of experience in L2/L3 networking design and implementation with a focus on Campus, and Wi-Fi solutions then Data Center, .</p></li><li><p>Expert-level experience with routing and switching, including .1x and NAC integrations plus&#xa0; poe Overlay technologies experience, (such as EVPN/VxLAN) is a plus.</p></li><li><p>Current hands-on experience in designing campus and leaf-spine network architectures.</p></li><li><p>Proven work experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales SE, or Network Consulting Engineer is preferred.</p></li><li><p>Expert knowledge in Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP,, .1x and QoS.</p></li><li><p>Good understanding of the competitor technology landscape, specifically Cisco and Juniper.</p></li><li><p>Expert-level knowledge of the industry-standard Command Line Interface (CLI).</p></li><li><p>Previous experience building network automation using Python and Ansible is highly desired.</p></li><li><p>Strong writing skills and ability to create informative white papers on technology and products is highly desired.</p></li><li><p>Local to the area</p></li></ul><p><strong>Compensation Information:</strong></p><p>The new hire base pay for this role has a salary range of $131,000 to $184,000.&#xa0;Additional compensation includes equity, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.</p><p>Arista offers different pay ranges based on work location, so that we can offer consistent and competitive pay appropriate to the market. The actual base pay offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location. The pay range provided reflects base pay only and in addition certain roles may also be eligible for discretionary Arista bonuses and equity. Employees in Sales roles are eligible to participate in Arista’s Sales Incentive Plan, which pays commissions calculated as a percentage of eligible sales. US-based employees are also entitled to benefits including medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings and income protection.
