    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative <strong>Data Scientist</strong> to join our team at <strong>Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE)</strong>, supporting the <strong>Air Combat Command (ACC)</strong>. The Data Scientist will play a critical role in leveraging advanced data analytics, machine learning, and statistical modeling to support intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations. This position requires expertise in data science methodologies, tools, and technologies to design how data will be stored, consumed, integrated and managed by different units and digital systems. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and implement <strong>data science solutions</strong> to support ISR operations and decision-making processes. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Determine, create and populate optimal data architectures, structures, and systems.   </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Apply <strong>machine learning algorithms</strong>, <strong>statistical modeling</strong>, and <strong>predictive analytics</strong> to solve mission-critical challenges. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Design and maintain <strong>data pipelines</strong>, ensuring the efficient collection, processing, and storage of structured and unstructured data. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Identify and address data quality issues, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of analytical outputs. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Stay current with emerging data science technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance analytical capabilities. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure compliance with all security protocols, classification guidelines, and organizational policies. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 12 years experience w/o a degree or 10 years with AS/AA or 8 years with BS/BA degree or 6 years experience with MS/MA </li>\n <li>DOD 8140 compliance based on DCWF code 423 intermediate level</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Technical Expertise:</strong> </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficiency in <strong>data analysis</strong>, <strong>machine learning</strong>, and <strong>statistical modeling</strong>. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with programming languages such as <strong>Python</strong>, <strong>R</strong>, or <strong>SQL</strong>. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with data visualization tools such as <strong>Tableau</strong>, <strong>Power BI</strong>, or <strong>D3.js</strong>. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, including ETL processes and database management. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Skills:</strong> </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills for producing reports and presenting findings. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Security Clearance:</strong> Active <strong>Top Secret/SCI</strong> clearance is required. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience supporting <strong>Air Combat Command (ACC)</strong> or similar ISR organizations. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of ISR operations and intelligence data sources. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as <strong>AWS</strong>, <strong>Azure</strong>, or <strong>Google Cloud</strong>. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Certifications such as <strong>Certified Data Scientist (CDS)</strong>, <strong>AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty</strong>, or equivalent. </li>\n <li><strong>Experience Level: </strong>Minimum 10 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years. </li>\n <li><strong>Education:</strong> Master’s degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; or have bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and an additional 5 years of related senior experience, for a total of 15 years, as a substitute to the master’s degree</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Why Join Us?</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Be part of a mission-critical team supporting the <strong>U.S. Air Force's ISR and data-driven operations</strong>. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Work in a dynamic and collaborative environment at <strong>Joint Base Langley-Eustis</strong>, a hub for Air Force intelligence and innovation. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Access to professional development opportunities and career growth within the data science and intelligence community. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#AFACC</p>\n<h2>Peraton Overview</h2>\n<p>Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
