          "text": "<p>The Repair &amp; Calibration Technician II is responsible for applying advanced electronics theory and diagnostic principles to test, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate precision instrumentation. This role emphasizes circuit-level analysis, signal integrity, and measurement accuracy in support of high-performance non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment used across laboratory and industrial environments.</p><p><strong>PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul><li>Apply analog and digital electronics theory to diagnose, isolate, and repair faults at the board and component level.</li><li>Perform functional testing, signal tracing, and calibration of advanced instrumentation, including phased array ultrasonic and eddy current systems.</li><li>Utilize electronic test equipment (oscilloscope, function generator, multimeter) to evaluate waveforms, frequency response, impedance, and signal integrity.</li><li>Interpret and analyse schematics, circuit designs, and system architectures to support effective troubleshooting and repair decisions.</li><li>Execute calibration procedures with a focus on measurement accuracy, repeatability, and compliance with engineering specifications.</li><li>Identify root causes of failures through systematic fault isolation techniques, including power distribution, signal path analysis, and component-level diagnostics.</li><li>Document findings, test data, and repair actions with clear technical detail to support quality and traceability requirements.</li><li>Prepare detailed technical reports and calibration records, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on design reliability, failure trends, and serviceability.</li><li>Maintain an organized and controlled work environment consistent with electronic lab best practices and ESD standards.</li></ul><p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<em>:</em></strong></p><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required</li><li>Military electronics training or technical school experience preferred</li><li>Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical training preferred</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline preferred</li></ul><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>3+ years of hands-on experience in electronics repair, troubleshooting, and calibration</li><li>Demonstrated expertise in board-level and component-level diagnostics</li><li>Experience with precision electronic instrumentation or test equipment preferred</li><li>Familiarity with signal processing, RF, or ultrasonic systems strongly preferred</li></ul><p><strong>Required Technical Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Strong foundation in electronics theory (Ohm’s Law, circuit analysis, analog/digital systems)</li><li>Proficiency in interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts</li><li>Hands-on experience with:<ul><li>Oscilloscopes (signal analysis, waveform interpretation)</li><li>Function generators</li><li>Digital multimeters</li><li>PC-based diagnostic and test software</li></ul></li><li>Skilled in soldering, rework, and component replacement (through-hole and surface mount)</li><li>Understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and test standards</li></ul><p><strong>Professional Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities</li><li>Attention to detail in technical documentation and calibration processes</li><li>Ability to manage multiple repairs while maintaining quality and deadlines</li><li>Effective communication of technical findings</li><li>Commitment to continuous learning and technical improvement</li></ul><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Pay Range: $26.00 - $28.00/hour a year plus 5% annual bonus target.</strong></p><p><strong>**Many Evident positions are located at export-control-restricted work locations or require access to export-controlled information.
