    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Element has an opportunity for an<strong> Associate Test Technician</strong> to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories across Element, the Associate Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision.  The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Salary: $25- $30/hr DOE </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Conducts environmental simulation tests such as Temperature/Humidity, Thermal shock, salt spray, shock, vibration, HALT, IP, package testing, acceleration, altitude.</li>\n <li>Contribute to 5S and safety goals of the laboratory.</li>\n <li>Support laboratory with report writing.</li>\n <li>Professionally interact with customers when testing is witnessed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Skills / Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Working knowledge of laboratory safety</li>\n <li>HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed</li>\n <li>0-2 years’ experience in a testing related field</li>\n <li>Basic understanding of testing concepts</li>\n <li>Possess computer skills. </li>\n <li>Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plusPossess the ability to work alone periodically throughout the work day with supervision</li>\n <li>Understand what must be completed each work day and takes the initiative to complete those tasks properly and timely - does not need Senior/Principal Technician or management to explain what the task is.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and understand customer specifications and perform the testing required</li>\n <li>Able to develop a proven ability to set up and perform a variety of tests according to customer specifications under the supervision and technical input of Senior/Principal</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Physical Demands:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate).</li>\n <li>Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and > 50 lbs. on occasion</li>\n <li>Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time</li>\n <li>Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p>Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
