Description

Overview Element has an opportunity for an Associate Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories across Element, the Associate Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures. Salary: $25- $30/hr DOE Responsibilities Conducts environmental simulation tests such as Temperature/Humidity, Thermal shock, salt spray, shock, vibration, HALT, IP, package testing, acceleration, altitude. Contribute to 5S and safety goals of the laboratory. Support laboratory with report writing. Professionally interact with customers when testing is witnessed. Skills / Qualifications Working knowledge of laboratory safety HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed 0-2 years’ experience in a testing related field Basic understanding of testing concepts Possess computer skills. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plusPossess the ability to work alone periodically throughout the work day with supervision Understand what must be completed each work day and takes the initiative to complete those tasks properly and timely - does not need Senior/Principal Technician or management to explain what the task is. Ability to read and understand customer specifications and perform the testing required Able to develop a proven ability to set up and perform a variety of tests according to customer specifications under the supervision and technical input of Senior/Principal Physical Demands: Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate).
