Overview At Brunson Instrument Company, we design and deliver precision measurement and alignment solutions that support some of the most demanding engineering and manufacturing environments. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated Sales Engineer to help expand our market presence and connect customers with Brunson’s innovative solutions. Reporting to the President, the Sales Engineer will leverage technical engineering expertise and business acumen to identify new market opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and promote Brunson’s technical solutions. The Sales Engineer will identify potential customer segments, establish relationships with clients, and achieve sales targets to ensure Brunson Instrument Company meets customers’ demands and expectations. This role is vital in bridging the gap between technical teams and business development strategies while communicating complex technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities Understand target markets, industries, and applications; conduct market research to identify trends, demand, and competitive landscape. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve territory sales targets. Identify and engage prospective customers, understanding technical and business needs through networking, cold calling, presentations, and referrals. Set and track account targets; manage pipeline, projects, and funnel activity using CRM. Prepare and present regular sales performance reports to management. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective market penetration and customer satisfaction. Provide customer and market feedback to product development and recommend enhancements. Engage senior supply chain executives to identify opportunities and lead the solution, proposal, and sales process. Drive end-user and OEM adoption through events, training, seminars, webinars, and demonstrations. Provide pre-sales technical support to help customers identify appropriate solutions. Prepare and deliver quotations and proposals; follow up on customer inquiries. Maintain prompt, professional, and solution-oriented customer communications. Relate customer business challenges to Brunson Instrument Company solutions. Develop a strong understanding of customer organizations and key buying influencers. Maintain knowledge of competitive products to address objections effectively. Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to support retention and growth. Lead customer interactions throughout the sales cycle and leverage internal resources as needed. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Product Development to develop customer solutions and proposals. Work with sales team members and the President to define and refine sales strategies Qualifications Demonstrated success in a sales or business development role for an organization of similar size/scope. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. High level of autonomy and self-motivation. Ability to create and deliver technical presentations tailored to the audience’s needs. Strong understanding and belief in sales performance metrics. Proven ability to utilize strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills. Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft 365. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be able to travel a minimum of 50% to meet regional needs. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. OMNI is honored to be retained in this search.
