    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>Provides speech therapy services to patients to enhance their level of care and maximize their functional potential.</p>\n<p><strong>Essential Job Duties:</strong></p>\n<ol>\n <li>Performs patient evaluations to determine patient problems to address.</li>\n <li>Develops an individualized patient plan of care, speech therapy interventions and expected outcomes based on the evaluation and documents findings.</li>\n <li>Implements or supervises the patient treatment within the established plan of care.</li>\n <li>Evaluates or reassesses patient progress towards established goals.</li>\n <li>Supervises Speech Therapist Assistant/Aide on rotation.</li>\n <li>Assists in discharge planning including communication to the patient, family and other health care professionals.</li>\n <li>Exercises the skills, safeguards and professional conduct of a Speech Therapist.</li>\n <li>Completes other duties and special projects as assigned.</li>\n</ol>\n<p><strong>Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:</strong></p>\n<ol>\n <li>Responsible for reporting breakdown of necessary support services to supervisor.</li>\n <li>Assists in orienting staff members.</li>\n <li>Supervise ST clinical students, teen volunteers and shadow students.</li>\n <li>Assists with departmental Performance Improvement Program.</li>\n <li>Maintain adequate supplies, assists in keeping department clean and ready for patient treatment.</li>\n</ol>",
