Supports and guides LPN staff, ensures compliance with nursing and medication management standards, and monitors documentation and treatment planning for accuracy and quality. Conducts audits, inspections, and infection reporting, provides training and direct care as needed, and promotes effective communication and continuity of care across residential units. Also provides consultative nursing support to Level 2 residential programs, including monthly medication room inspections and MAR reviews.</p>\n\n<p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL/CORE JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES </u></strong>&nbsp;</p>\n\n<ol>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Supports residential LPNs in daily activities, including nursing care and treatment, assessment, medication administration, admissions/discharges, planning, intervention, documentation, and supervision of residents, in accordance with unit procedures and physician orders. Provides direct nursing coverage as needed when no coverage is available.</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Ensures program compliance with all medication management, medication storage, laboratory specimen handling, biomedical waste transfer, hand hygiene, and narcotic control policies and procedures. Monitors implementation to maintain effective, efficient, and safe nursing practices.</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Provides training and education to LPNs on clinical nursing duties at the direction of the Program Manager and ensures completion of required documentation for personnel files.</p>\n\t</li>\n\t<li>\n\t<p>Coordinates and monitors the nursing components of treatment plans, ensuring inclusion of relevant assessment findings and patient care needs.
