    "descriptionText": "Description\n\nDirectly responsible to the shift Supervisor of Fabrication/Packing.  Communicates and collaborates with the other team leads & department supervisors to keep orders on time. Functionally responsible with all members of the fabrication & packing teams concerning day to day fabrication & packing activities. \n\n DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES \n\nThe duties and responsibilities of the Team Lead are detailed below, but not limited to the following:\n\n Ensure all team members are working safely & report any unsafe conditions or incidents to shift supervisor\n Start each shift on time and ensure all team members are present\n Ensure all team members are assigned jobs at shift start and throughout the shift\n Follow the fabrication and packing WIP reports each shift by due date\n Ensure all team members are performing quality checks / inspection as required\n Oversee staging of material according to the required location, re stock, Fab, packing, shipping, shunt,etc\n Oversee that all team members are following specific instructions according to customer requirements\n Ensure accuracy and completeness of Epics entries for all team members, highlighting variances\n Ensure QA receives samples for outside testing\n Notify scheduling and shift supervisor of incomplete orders\n Notify shift supervisor of significant scrap during your shift\n Responsible for reporting equipment malfunction to shift supervisor or maintenance team directly\n Ensure the saws are being run in a safe and efficient manner\n Responsible for ensuring run rates are adhered to as outlined by the work order if run rates are not able to be met, immediately notify shift supervisor\n Ensure blades are making effective cuts and pieces are adhering to standards\n When operating the punch press, ensure drawings are carefully followed and validate setups are correct\n Participate in shift handovers and communicate any issues, priorities, etc\n Ensure pull stock orders are filled from correct stock order numbers according to FIFO\n Promote continuous cross training and process improvement with in team\n Ensure compliance to all quality & safety related policies, procedures and system requirements\n Participate in annual employee reviews\n Perform other related duties as assigned\n\n Requirements\n\n MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS \n\n Education/Experience \n\n Post secondary education preferred, Grade 12 mandatory\n 3 5 years production experience in an industrial environment\n 2 years of experience in a lead hand role would be considered an asset\n\n Technical Skills/Competence \n\n Understanding of measurements, tolerances, basic geometry, and numeracy comprehension\n Forklift certificate is an asset\n Must have good team building and motivational skills\n Should have a good command of English, written and oral\n 1 2 years of production and/or fabrication machining experience is an asset\n\n Benefits\n\nWe offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package that goes beyond base pay, supporting your health, growth, and long term success:\n\n Profit Sharing\n Health & Dental\n Health Care Spending Account\n Education Assistance Program\n Employee Assistance Program (EAP)\n Company Events\n Floater Days\n Paid Holidays\n Shift Premiums\n Annual safety footwear reimbursement program\n\nThe expected pay range for this position is $23.00 $27.00 per hour.
