This exciting ownership positions us for continued impacts and growth in the future.</p>\n<h2>Essential Functions & Responsibilities </h2>\n<p><strong>Field Chemist </strong><strong></strong>As a Field Chemist you will be responsible for sorting and transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste, always ensuring compatibility and safety in all processes for each service provided to customers.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times</li>\n <li>Assists in the segregation of chemicals by hazard class and packs compatible materials in appropriate containers and prepares for transportation; completes necessary paperwork for each job </li>\n <li>Determines and loads supplies needed for job completion and travels to various industry, laboratory, and educational sites to perform lab pack services</li>\n <li>Assists in characterizing materials at field project sites </li>\n <li>Adheres to proper placarding and load segregation requirements when transporting hazardous materials </li>\n <li>Develops good customer relations by effectively communicating with site points of contact and others at customer location / site </li>\n <li>Appropriately directs Field Technicians / Drivers who are assisting with waste collection </li>\n <li>Maintains an introductory knowledge of high-hazard materials management / assessment and cylinder handling </li>\n <li>Maintains the ability to travel to support outside locations as needed</li>\n <li>Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education </h2>- Associates degree (required); Bachelor’s degree (preferred)\n<h2>Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>In lieu of degree 2+ years of related experience (required), previous experience in lab packing or environmental waste (preferred) </li>\n <li>Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a Class B CDL with Hazmat endorsement within 6 months of hire date (required) </li>\n <li>Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record search to Company standards (required)</li>\n <li><strong>*Due to the potential exposure to atmospheres/waste/materials this position requires individuals to be clean shaven at all times in order to don a respirator for protection</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits, Compensation & Workforce Diversity</h2>Arcwood offers competitive pay and bonus incentives.
