We pride ourselves on cultivating a diverse staff and serving a community made up of 97% students of color, all of whom receive free and reduced lunch. Some of our students come to DeLaSalle not having found success at their previous high school, butwe are determined to provide an environment where they can thrive. Students and families choose DeLaSalle for ourpersonalized support and the myriad partnerships and real world learning opportunities we provide, and 95% of our students graduate with at least one real world learning Market Value Asset. This position will lead the work of the Kairos (Student Support) Team. The ultimate goal is to foster a positive school culture and work to process discipline in a consistent and equitable way that reduces suspensions over time. An ideal candidate for this position works to provide a uniformed restorative, trauma informed approach and is comfortable and confident with student, staff, and family engagement. A portion of this work may occur outside of business hours.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Primary Responsibilities:</span><br>1. Build proactive and authentic relationships with students, families and staff<br>2. Innovate, collaborate on and refine key systems in service of school-wide student culture<br>(Reengagement to school from OSS, Re-entry to class from ISR *In School Restoration or time in Kairos,<br>Response to behavior (walkie calls), and In School Restoration system)<br>3. Develop, enhance, implement, and enforce school protocols and procedures consistently that are aligned<br>with restorative practices and school values<br>4. Design, source and implement high impact supports and interventions<br>5. Address behavior concerns and behavior infractions/flags promptly and consistently<br>6. Ensure follow through and communication to stakeholders on student interventions and consequences<br>7. Serve as the primary facilitator and driver in conflict-resolution and restorative repair in student to student<br>OR student to staff scenarios<br>8. Collaborate with students, families, Kairos Team, teachers, the Director of Special Education and school<br>leadership to develop student support plans plans and interventions as needed<br>9. Coordinate, plan and facilitate Town Halls for Grade Levels, Kairos Team meetings, family meetings,<br>student support meetings and behavior hearings<br>10. Track, monitor, evaluate and report behavior data in Kairos/Student Life Trackers, Intellispark and Infinite<br>Campus<br>11. Plan and facilitate student and staff development sessions determined by school needs and areas of<br>focus<br>12. Additional assigned duties as assigned by the assistant principal/principal</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desired Qualifications:</span><br>● At least three years of relevant experience working with students and families from a variety of<br>backgrounds, including urban environments and students at risk of academic failure<br>● Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in teaching, counseling, or related field preferred<br>● Deep knowledge of restorative practices, Missouri laws and regulations pertaining to charter schools and all<br>aspects of student/family rights in behavior and dismissal proceedings<br>● Able and willing to work extended school day hours and extended school year days<br>● Effectively prioritizes work and meets deadlines; is organized; manages multiple assignments; follows<br>assignments through to completion; responds quickly to requests for information and assistance<br>● Maintains confidential and sensitive information, with respect to both school and student level data and<br>internal staff members</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>(Applicants are considered for all positions without regard to sex, race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other factor prohibited by law.)</p>\n<p><br></p>",
