    "description": "<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Hiring for 2026-2027 Academic Year</span></span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"><br>Community Christian School of Baraboo</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Teacher’s Assistant Job Description - Early Elementary/Elementary (Grades 4K-2nd; including 3rd-6th as needed)</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">General Description:</span></span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> The Teacher’s Assistant shall prayerfully guide students in the acquisition of elementary academic skills necessary for academic success and prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians to the praise and glory of God.</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Reports To:</span></span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> Principal, takes direction from the classroom teacher </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Qualifications: </span></span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The Teacher’s <span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assistant </span>shall be one who has received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. The teacher shall faithfully attend a local church whose fundamental beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith of CCS. They shall be a person who exhibits and/or desires spiritual understanding in academic and leadership abilities that will allow him/her to “train up a child in the way he should go.” The teacher’s assistant shall reflect the purpose of the school, which is to honor Christ in every activity.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The TA: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">shall possess at minimum of a high school diploma with experience in working with students in a classroom setting, and preferably have a bachelor’s degree.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">shall have at minimum 1-5 years of experience working with students in the classroom setting.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">shall be born-again and be called of God to the ministry of primary education.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Duties and Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Teacher Role and Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Our Teaching Assistant shall assist our faculty, and support day to day school functions by:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assist with set-up and clean-up of the learning environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assist the lead teacher with planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the lead teacher.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Supervise the room when the lead teacher is out of the room.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assist with general housekeeping, as assigned by the teacher.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assist the teacher in any other appropriate way. Including, but not limited to: Leading art projects, teaching Bible time, leading in singing, laminating, photocopying, preparing bulletin boards, or preparing art projects.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assist in supervising the classroom and playground; responsible for discipline in the classroom/playground in accordance with the school’s discipline procedures under the direction of the teacher and/or administrators.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Supervise students in the lunchroom during lunch periods; will be assisting with lunchroom duties.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Maintain professional attitudes while interacting with students, school personnel and community stakeholders.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Treat all children with dignity and respect.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Attend all staff meetings and scheduled in-services, as deemed necessary by the principal or administrator.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Participate in professional organizations, conferences, workshops that work toward the improvement of childhood education.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Reflect the purpose of the school which is to honor Christ in every class and in every activity.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Motivate students to accept God's gift of salvation and help them grow in their faith through their witness and Christian role modeling.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Lead students to a realization of their self-worth in Christ.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assist the classroom teacher in leading classes as assigned following prescribed scope and sequence as scheduled by the Principal.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Keep proper discipline in the classroom and on the school premises for a good learning environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Maintain a clean, attractive, well-ordered classroom.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assist the teacher in utilizing teaching techniques by providing tutoring, reading support, and monitoring students behavior within the framework of the school's philosophy.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Employ a variety of instructional aids, methods, and materials that will provide for creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Provide assistance and leadership in classroom activities like field trips, hosting guest speakers, and other media.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Recognize the need for good public relations. Represent the school in a favorable and professional manner to the school's constituency and the general public.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Develop and maintain rapport with students, parents, and staff by treating others with friendliness, dignity, and consideration.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Follow the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with students, parents, staff, and administration.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Seek the counsel of the classroom teacher, principal, colleagues, and parents while maintaining a teachable attitude.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Attend and participate in scheduled devotional, in-service, retreats, committee, faculty, and Parent/Teacher meetings.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Know the procedures for dealing with issues of an emergency nature.</span></li>\n<li>Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, reach, sit on the floor or at child-sized tables, and move throughout classrooms, hallways, the lunchroom, playground, and other school areas for extended periods of time.</li>\n<li>Lift, carry, push, or pull classroom supplies, instructional materials, lunchroom items, playground equipment, or other school-related items weighing up to approximately 25–40 pounds, as needed.</li>\n<li>Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, transitions, field trips, assemblies, emergency drills, and other school-sponsored activities.</li>\n<li>Maintain active visual and auditory supervision of students and respond promptly and appropriately to student needs, minor injuries, behavioral concerns, safety procedures, and emergency situations.</li>\n<li>Assist students during fire drills, tornado drills, lockdown drills, evacuations, and other safety-related procedures, following school policies and administrator direction.</li>\n<li>Perform duties in a setting that may include outdoor supervision in appropriate weather conditions, moderate noise levels, frequent movement, interruptions, and regular interaction with young children.<br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Other duties as assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Spiritual Expectations</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Has received Jesus Christ as his/her personal Savior.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Believe that the Bible is God's Word and standard for faith and daily living.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Be a </span><span style=\"font-size: 16px; text-decoration: underline\">Christian role model</span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\"> in attitude, speech and actions toward others.
