Applications include leading edge technology and next generation power requirements in industries such as alternate energy (wind, solar, fuel cell), datacenter and server power supply design and electrical distribution, electric vehicles, LED lighting, and battery charging.</span></p><p style=\"margin: 0px;\" id=\"isPasted\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for manufacturing services for new and redesigned products including the selection and implementation of lean processes, new equipment, new tooling and new manufacturing techniques into production. &nbsp;This position also determines lean, product, equipment, and process improvements in order to reduce cost, scrap, rework, maintenance, and set‑up. This position will also work closely with the new product development team. &nbsp;Reports to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering.</span></p><p style=\"margin: 0px;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin: 0px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><u>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong><strong>:</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><u>New Product Projects</u></strong></span><ul><li style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in .75in;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Responsible for scheduling, budgeting and completing assigned responsibilities for New Product Projects.&nbsp;</span></li><li style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in .75in;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Responsible for timely and accurate cost information, reviewing the design for manufacturing, concurrent engineering, reviewing the design specifications for completeness and reviewing the impact the product will have on each production department.&nbsp;</span></li><li style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in .75in;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Responsible for the conceptual design, ordering and implementation of tooling in a timely manner.&nbsp;</span></li><li style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in .75in;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Responsible for coordinating the tooling, material, equipment and methods for processing the new product in order to produce the desired quality at the lowest cost.&nbsp;</span></li><li style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in .75in;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Responsible for creating and maintaining the Production Documentation Package.</span></li></ul></li></ul><p style=\"margin-left: .75in;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">&nbsp;</span></p><ul><li style=\"margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><u>Lean Process Development and Trouble-shooting</u></strong></span><ul><li style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in .75in;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Lead Kaizens implementing lean tool including 5S, Poke Yoke, Visual Management, TPM, Quick Change, Single Piece Flow and Kanban.&nbsp;</span></li><li style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in .75in;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Review existing products and processes making changes to reduce scrap, rework, direct labor costs, set‑up, quality cost and lead time.&nbsp;</span></li><li style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in .75in;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Conduct experiments to determine optimum manufacturing processes.&nbsp;</span></li><li style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in .75in;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Prepare cost analysis for justification of new or reworked tooling.&nbsp;</span></li><li style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in .75in;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva; font-size: 12pt;\">Trouble-shoot tooling, processes and equipment both internally and externally for all assigned products.&nbsp;</span></li><li style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0in .75in;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva;
