Our program is unique in that women can bring their children in.</p><p>The SUD Counselor II is a registered substance use disorder professional who maintains registration from an approved/accredited California agency. The SUD Counselor II is responsible for delivering services to a caseload of clients and providing individualized substance use disorder services. The SUD Counselor II works in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure best possible treatment outcome for the client and provide treatment in accordance with HealthRIGHT 360&rsquo;s philosophy, goals, policies, mission and vision. The SUD Counselor II may provide treatment utilizing different modalities including individual and/or group. Services may be provided in: outpatient office, residential treatment, or the field, based on client and program need.</p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><h2>Key Responsibilities</h2><p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Assists clients with intake, assessment, and orientation to program upon admission or transition in care level.</li><li>Helps lead the client through the treatment plan and delivers individual and group substance use disorder services.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitors client&#39;s progress toward achieving treatment plan goals and provides treatment plan input.</li><li>Utilizes trauma informed care while applying motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and evidence-based practices.</li><li>Delivers residential program clients with a minimum of 1 individual session per week for each client on their caseload.</li><li>Seeks clinical consultation throughout the treatment episode and when encountering new and/or high-risk clinical circumstance.</li><li>Works collaboratively with other members of the treatment team including the Case Manager, Clinicians, Medical, and Psychiatrist, of applicable.</li><li>Maintains frequent communication with the treatment team and engages in regular consults, clinical team, case conferences, and plan development meetings.&nbsp;</li><li>Delivers services in outpatient, residential, or field depending on assignments and client need.</li><li>Responsible for treatment oversight of the clients on their caseload.</li><li>Assists with client program oversight by managing client business passes, privileges, check-in, and treatment compliance.</li><li>Meets expected client care hours (productivity expectation is 25 client care hours per week).</li></ul><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p><h2>Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</h2><p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Registered or certified substance abuse counselor.&nbsp;</li><li>Follow all regulations and requirements set forth by CARF, State and County funders.</li><li>Maintains a high degree of self-awareness and the ability to stay calm under pressure.</li><li>Enrollment in an alcohol and drug certification program leading to certification.</li><li>A minimum of two years of experience in a substance abuse treatment setting.&nbsp;</li><li>Basic understanding of child development, child abuse, substance abuse and self sufficiency issues.</li><li>Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.</li><li>Valid California Driver&#39;s License with proof of insurance.</li></ul><p id=\"isPasted\">In compliance with the California Department of Public Health&#39;s mandate, all employees must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
