This role is primarily focused on medication management and collaborative rounding within a fast‑paced inpatient setting. Nurse Practitioners handle the majority of daily rounding, so you must be comfortable working within a team-based workflow and providing oversight, support, and clinical leadership as needed.</p><p>This position includes every‑other‑weekend call, which is predictable and supported by NP coverage. The ideal candidate is autonomous yet highly collaborative, dependable with weekend responsibilities, flexible with site needs, and confident managing inpatient acuity.</p><p>As a Psychiatrist, you will diagnose, treat, and support individuals experiencing acute psychiatric conditions. You will develop treatment plans that incorporate medication management and evidence-based interventions, while coordinating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, trauma‑informed, patient‑centered care.</p><hr><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Provide high-quality inpatient psychiatric care with a strong focus on medication management.</li><li>Participate in every‑other‑weekend call rotation, managing predictable inpatient needs with NP support.</li><li>Collaborate closely with Nurse Practitioners who handle most of the daily rounding.</li><li>Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments.</li><li>Develop and implement individualized inpatient treatment plans.</li><li>Engage in crisis intervention and trauma‑informed care during acute episodes.</li><li>Coordinate care with NPs, psychologists, social workers, counselors, and nursing staff.</li><li>Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.</li><li>Stay current with evidence-based psychiatric practices and standards of care.</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li>MD or DO from an accredited institution.</li><li>Completion of a Psychiatry residency program.</li><li>Board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry.</li><li>Unrestricted license to practice Psychiatry in the United States.</li><li>Experience diagnosing and treating mental health disorders in a clinical setting.</li><li>Comfort with inpatient workflow and managing acute patient needs.</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li>Fellowship training in Child &amp; Adolescent, Geriatric, Addiction, or other psychiatric subspecialties.</li><li>Experience supervising or collaborating with Nurse Practitioners or other mental health providers.</li><li>Familiarity with integrated or team‑based behavioral health care models.</li><li>Training or experience in trauma‑informed care and crisis intervention.</li><li>Prior experience in inpatient psychiatry strongly preferred.</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Skills &amp; Competencies</strong></h3><ul><li>Strong diagnostic and clinical decision‑making skills.</li><li>Ability to work autonomously while thriving in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.</li><li>Comfort managing predictable weekend call responsibilities.</li><li>Effective communication skills with both patients and clinical teams.</li><li>Expertise in crisis intervention and trauma‑informed approaches.</li><li>Flexibility and adaptability to meet inpatient unit needs.</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div>\n<br/>Every other weekend call schedule.
