Description
Manufacturing Production Workers focus on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production (i.e., machining, processing, assembly, or packaging) equipment including:
Operating machine tool, chemical processing, assembly, or packaging equipment to manufacture products according to production specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods Monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products Maintaining accurate daily production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis
This position is located at the onsite Panama City, FL manufacturing location. No travel required. This is a rotating shift position. Shift pattern will change between Day/Night shift every 3 months. Shift wage premiums will apply.
Responsibilities
Group Functions
Setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, such as cabling, extrusion, armoring, braiding, and SFL assembly. Foreman will be required to understand and enforce daily compliance with Level 2, Level 3 and JSEA documents related to each production task. Must exercise the ability to review and verify operator competencies against standard work instructions. Must hold all team members accountable. Conduct toolbox talks, CORA talks related to High Hazard tasks. Lead risk reviews and verify action status. Align production team with plant wide goals related to safety, quality, and efficiency. Provide clear task instructions and define expectations. Work directly with supervisors on shift layout and daily task assignments for the team. Coordinate equipment issues and repairs with maintenance department. Knowledgeable of weekly manufacturing plans and production schedules. Strong interpersonal skills, understands how to lead by examples. Ability to deliver constructive feedback and mentoring without escalation. Learn to use future digitalization systems to effectively manage work related task. Ensures that all involved in the project are kept informed on any issues or challenges identified. Work closely with line operators, manufacturing engineers, QC department, and maintenance teams on continuous improvement.

2-5 years of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment. Bachelors degree may be considered in lieu of some experience. Good communication skills and ability to work well with a diverse group of people in a matrixed organization. Must be able to flex schedule if needed. Proficient computer skills required. Experience with Microsoft preferred (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook) Must be able to wear required PPE for work area Must be able to obtain TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Card to access work location

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to effectively communicate requirements with suppliers and sub-contractors.

This position is considered SHOP WORK which is characterized as follows.
Generally, work performed indoors (80%) and occasional outdoors (20%). Hours of work depend on shift assigned. Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace Occasional travel to vendor sites for product evaluations. Work surface is stable (flat) Requires a great deal of manual dexterity, such as working with measuring and testing equipment, marking and hand/power tools.

"InternalResponsibilitiesStr": "<p><strong>Group Functions </strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, such as cabling, extrusion, armoring, braiding, and SFL assembly. </li><li>Foreman will be required to understand and enforce daily compliance with Level 2, Level 3 and JSEA documents related to each production task. </li><li>Must exercise the ability to review and verify operator competencies against standard work instructions. </li><li>Must hold all team members accountable. </li><li>Conduct toolbox talks, CORA talks related to High Hazard tasks. </li><li>Lead risk reviews and verify action status. </li><li>Align production team with plant wide goals related to safety, quality, and efficiency. </li><li>Provide clear task instructions and define expectations. </li><li>Work directly with supervisors on shift layout and daily task assignments for the team. </li><li>Coordinate equipment issues and repairs with maintenance department. </li><li>Knowledgeable of weekly manufacturing plans and production schedules. </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills, understands how to lead by examples. </li><li>Ability to deliver constructive feedback and mentoring without escalation. </li><li>Learn to use future digitalization systems to effectively manage work related task. </li><li>Ensures that all involved in the project are kept informed on any issues or challenges identified. </li><li>Work closely with line operators, manufacturing engineers, QC department, and maintenance teams on continuous improvement. </li></ul><p> </p>",
