    "description": "<p><strong>Summary</strong>: Enhances and improves the SRIM experience for our residents, families, and visitors, promotes the core value of the Golden Rule, secure premises and personnel by performing the following duties.</p>\n\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong> include the following. Other duties may be assigned.<br />\n1. Speaks to and interacts with residents, families, and visitors while showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect<br />\n2. Must be alert at all times<br />\n3. Secure premises and personnel by patrolling premises and conducting walk throughs on an hourly basis<br />\n4. Ensure the security, safety and well being of all personnel, visitors and the premises<br />\n5. Document activities including hourly walks, in the security log<br />\n6. Answers main line and after-hours phone lines with a welcoming and inviting attitude, and always responds courteously<br />\n7. Respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees, residents and visitors<br />\n8. Protect the community’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues<br />\n9. Coordinate 30-minute meal breaks with nurse-on-duty, ensuring he/she is able to answer the after-hours line during that time period<br />\n10. Review and discuss important details with previous/oncoming shift<br />\n11. Communicate any issues/emergencies with Maintenance Director<br />\n12. Communicate with nurse-on-duty regarding any issues or concerns<br />\n13. Communicates effectively in a language that each resident is capable of understanding<br />\n14. Follows written and verbal instructions<br />\n15. Practices good body mechanics and safe working habits<br />\n16. Observes and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor<br />\n17. Knows, understands, and follows established policies and procedures in emergency situations<br />\n18. Works as a team player with other associates and management in accomplishing work assignments<br />\n19. Demonstrates a positive and respectful attitude about work issues, policies, and procedures<br />\n20. Demonstrates a positive and respectful attitude with residents, families, visitors, associates, and management<br />\n21. Complies with attendance and call off policy<br />\n22. Attends and/or participates in mandatory meetings<br />\n23. Wears clean and appropriate dress per established dress code policy<br />\n24. Refrains from discussing resident care issues with families and visitors, and refers all inquiries to immediate supervisor<br />\n25. Knows, understands, and follows HIPAA regulations<br />\n26. Takes initiative in work, seeks out additional information, and offers solutions/suggestions<br />\n27. Takes on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties<br />\n28. Performs all other reasonable duties as assigned or as requested<br />\n29. Assist other departments as needed, such as roll silverware for dining room</p>\n\n<p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong><br />\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
