Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.   </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>#SIC</strong></p>\n<p><strong>#LI On-Site</strong></p>\n<p><strong>#LI-VB1</strong></p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in erecting and operating machines to hoist and convey machinery and equipment. Displays crew leadership.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Specify locations for movement and erection of derricks, hoists, and cranes, using knowledge of various methods of sliding and lifting equipment.</li>\n <li>Direct workers engaged in splicing ropes and metal cables to form hoisting slings.</li>\n <li>Supervise and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers.</li>\n <li>Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervision.</li>\n <li>Maintains time records.</li>\n <li>Interpret company policies to workers, and enforces safety regulations.</li>\n <li>Establish and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel.</li>\n <li>Study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job.</li>\n <li>Analyze and resolve work problems.</li>\n <li>Coordinate the movement of equipment and material according to visual signals and directions.</li>\n <li>Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.</li>\n <li>Perform frequent safety inspections of work area, equipment, tools, and employees in accordance with SIC policy to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and SIC’s safety program.   </li>\n <li>Appropriate journeyman experience required.</li>\n <li>Regular attendance is required.</li>\n <li>Significant travel may be required.</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Rigger Journey level minimum of 4+ years of experience.  2+ years of supervisory experience.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Demands</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds.</li>\n <li>Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces.</li>\n <li>Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.</li>\n <li>Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.</li>\n <li>Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Work Environment</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
