We are seeking a motivated early-career professional with approximately 1–2 years of experience in electrical design or drafting, ideally within municipal water/wastewater or industrial infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work on meaningful municipal infrastructure projects – supporting the engineering team with design development, drafting, and project coordination while continuing to build technical expertise in a collaborative environment.</p><p>This position offers the flexibility of our hybrid work model, including flexible hours, working from home, work either in our Mississauga, Bowmanville or Kitchener offices.</p><p><strong>Opportunity Highlights:</strong></p><ul><li>Hands-on experience in electrical and I&amp;C design for municipal infrastructure projects.</li><li>Exposure to the full project lifecycle, from design through construction and commissioning.</li><li>Mentorship and support from experienced electrical engineers, technologists, and project managers.</li><li>Opportunities to grow into more advanced technical and coordination responsibilities.</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Support a multidisciplinary design team by assisting Project Managers and Engineers with electrical design tasks.</li><li>Prepare and modify electrical drawings using design software, including single-line diagrams, power distribution layouts, lighting plans, and control schematics.</li><li>Assist in the development of Instrumentation and Controls (I&amp;C) designs, including control panels, I/O lists, instrumentation layouts, and basic SCADA system components.</li><li>Contribute to the preparation of technical documents such as specifications, reports, cost estimates, and construction drawings.</li><li>Perform basic design calculations and assist with quantity take-offs.</li><li>Participate in field investigations, site visits, and inspections to support design validation and construction activities.</li><li>Assist with shop drawing reviews and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities.</li><li>Provide support during construction, including responding to RFIs and assisting with documentation updates.</li><li>Coordinate with internal team members and support communication with clients, contractors, and suppliers.</li><li>Maintain organized project documentation and ensure adherence to company standards and quality procedures.</li></ul>",
