Develop your forward-thinking skills, thrive in an entrepreneurial setting, and succeed at “a better place to be”.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>ConnectOne Bank is an Equal Housing and Equal Opportunity Lender, and a member of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.</p><h2><br></h2><h2><strong>About this role</strong>:</h2><p>The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for the written analysis and underwriting of the credit worthiness of new loan proposals as well as existing loans, identifying credit policy exceptions and other credit issues in order to identify and protect the asset quality of the Bank’s commercial loans.&nbsp;</p><h2><br></h2><h2><strong>In this role you will</strong>:&nbsp;</h2><ul><li>Support the Bank’s “People First” focus and rules of engagement—maintaining a professional demeanor, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing all clients excellent service, always striving to make CNOB “A Better Place to Be”.</li><li>Prepare credit analyses for loan requests including financial statement analysis, collateral analysis (including third party reports), risk rating recommendations, trend analysis, and identifying the proposed credit’s strengths and weaknesses.</li><li>Prepare written recommendations as to whether proposed loans should be approved as presented; or provide alternate loan structure recommendations as appropriate.</li><li>Prepare financial statement spreadsheets which include a measurement of various financial ratio trends to evaluate financial status.</li><li>Assist the Commercial Loan Officers and Portfolio Managers with the completion of annual loan reviews, as required.</li><li>Mentor and guide Credit Analysts and Junior Credit Analysts.</li><li>Assist in the annual financial statement follow-up to borrowers; track and monitor the Bank’s receipt of this information.</li><li>Order flood search as appropriate.&nbsp;</li></ul><h2><strong>Must haves</strong>:&nbsp;</h2><ul><li>Strong “People First” interest and ability.</li><li>Knowledge of relevant Federal and State banking regulations.</li><li>Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and credit concepts.</li><li>Credit training.</li><li>Basic knowledge of loan types and loan structures.</li></ul><h2><strong>Bonus Points For:</strong></h2><ul><li>Working knowledge of the nCino platform is preferred.</li><li>Experience in CRE Lending</li></ul><h2><strong>Additional information</strong></h2><p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p><ul><li>World class health, vision, and dental benefits on day one</li><li>401k with employer match</li><li>Hybrid work from home (depending on role)</li><li>Employee appreciation events (team building, softball games, food truck days, etc..)</li><li>Employee assistance programs (EAP)</li><li>Wellness programs (flu shot, preventive care, health programs and services discounts, etc..)</li><li>Tuition reimbursement&nbsp;</li><li>Employee Discount perks</li><li>CNOB Community Service Events</li></ul><p><strong>….and much, much more!</strong></p><p>Studies have shown that individuals from underrepresented groups, may only apply to roles if they meet 100% of the qualifications.
