This is your chance to anchor, produce, and shape a show from the ground up. We’re searching for someone who thrives in both sports and news, is a natural storyteller, and who can own the screen and the rundown. This new, daily program, will be a fast-paced, 30 minute segment focused on local and regional news and sports, including local weather.</p><p><br></p><p>What You’ll Do:</p><ul><li>Anchor and produce a nightly live news and sports broadcast</li><li>Plan daily coverage and build compelling rundowns</li><li>Write, shoot, and edit stories that connect with viewers</li><li>Conduct interviews and create engaging, original content</li><li>Help shape the voice and identity of a brand-new program</li></ul><p>What We’re Looking For:</p><ul><li>Proven experience producing in a commercial broadcast environment</li><li>Strong on-air presence with anchoring experience</li><li>A dynamic storyteller with excellent writing and communication skills</li><li>Highly organized, comfortable working independently and wearing multiple hats</li><li>Play-by-play experience</li><li>Strong proficiency and knowledge in local sports</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience</li><li>Minimum of two years experience in commercial broadcasting required</li><li>Candidates should possess and maintain a valid driver's license, acceptable level of insurance as required by the company, and a motor vehicle company that is insurable by the company</li></ul><p>This isn’t just another anchor job. This is a rare opportunity to build something new, make your mark, and grow with a program from its very first broadcast.
