In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>University Radiology Group is seeking a Full-time, <strong>Pre-Authorization Coordinator</strong> for our East Brunswick, NJ Business Office.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work closely with any referring physicians and payers to ensure authorization for the patients scheduled procedure is obtained prior to his/her appointment</li>\n <li>Talk to patients and inform them on:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Instructions for the procedure</li>\n   <li>Documentation required on the day of the exam</li>\n   <li>Discuss financial responsibility</li>\n   <li>Collect payment</li>\n   <li>Set up payment plan</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Document the patient’s electronic record with notes regarding the conversation</li>\n <li>Provide excellent customer service to Physician Referral Organizations, internal team members and patients</li>\n <li>Responsible for verification and investigation of pre-authorization, authorization, and referral requirements for services.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Working in high call volume comfortably </li>\n <li>Understanding of the Revenue Cycle and the impact Pre-registration has within the Cycle.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of CPT, ICD9, ICD10 and insurance contracts/reimbursement required</li>\n <li>Strong organizational and communication skills</li>\n <li>1+ year of insurance verification required</li>\n <li>Great computer skills</li>\n <li>Excellent time management skills</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<p>University Radiology offers a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental and life insurance, 401k/pension, and profit-sharing plans, generous paid time off policy and more. </p>\n<h2>Pay Range:</h2>\n<p>From $20/hr</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Join our growing team!</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>University Radiology  is an Equal Opportunity Employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.</p>",
