Participate in month-end close process including balance sheet analysis, accounting corrections, and accruals so that established timelines are met. Work with refinery or ethanol sites to analyze actual results versus forecasts to establish reasonableness. Conduct financial analysis, research, and data entry or upload in support of budget, forecasts, and stewardship reporting Prepare various quarter-end financial reports to support earnings releases, quarterly comparisons of operations, and operating and statistical information; prepare and submit local, state, and federal governmental reports and surveys. Record invoices for non-trade sales customers. Develop and implement process improvements, new procedures, analysis tools to improve overall effectiveness. Execute and assist in ad hoc projects and prepares analysis as requested by Manager or VP of Accounting. May assist refineries or ethanol plants with research for internal and external audits, corporate initiatives and special research projects.
