Shafer offers a $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS for experienced mixer drivers or a $1,500 SIGN ON BONUS for CDL licensed drivers, paid class training for permitted CDL holders, and competitive pay (Up to $31.00/hr) and benefits, as listed below, and is seeking experienced Redi-Mix Drivers (will train if needed) with strong customer service skills for full-time positions. Locations available in Michigan include Albion, Mason, Jackson, Marshall, Lansing and Battle Creek.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job purpose:</span></p>\n<p>Primary responsibility of this position requires safely driving a concrete mixer truck, attention and detail to hopper loading of truck, unloading concrete at a variety of job sites, attaching and detaching chutes as necessary and maintaining a clean truck both inside and out.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties and responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Safely driving truck under loading hopper for each load mix</li>\n<li>Safely driving truck to and from destination applying knowledge of DOT driving regulations and area roads</li>\n<li>Verify directions with plant personnel before leaving the plant to ensure delivery to the correct customer and job site</li>\n<li>Strive to meet customer expectations without exception</li>\n<li>Keep equipment in acceptable condition of cleanliness using approved cleaning materials and supplies, after deliveries to prevent hardening of concrete in mixer and on truck</li>\n<li>Maintain contact with supervisor/dispatch to receive and transmit delivery instructions</li>\n<li>Assist other company employees as needed</li>\n<li>Complete pre- and post-trip inspections on truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights brakes, gas, oil, and water</li>\n<li>Must be able to take orders, instructions, and guidance from supervisors and management</li>\n<li>Cooperate and promote a team concept with all other company employees, as well as customers</li>\n<li>Adhere to all Company, DOT, and OSHA. rules and regulations at all times</li>\n<li>Meet or exceed company safety standards</li>\n<li>Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must possess a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL A or B)</li>\n<li>Must have a clean driving record in the last 5 years and maintain a clean driving record during employment</li>\n<li>Ability to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen</li>\n<li>High School diploma, preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span>Benefits:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Competitive Wages (Up to $31.00/hr)</span></li>\n<li><span>Health Insurance for employee and family with up to 100% premium contribution from employer and Health Savings Account matching program (available after 30 days)</span></li>\n<li><span>Employer paid Group Term Life Insurance for employee (available after 30 days)</span></li>\n<li><span>Employer paid Supplemental Accident, Disability and Critical Illness Insurance for employee (available after 90 days)</span></li>\n<li><span>Employee paid Dental and Vision Insurance</span></li>\n<li><span>Employer reimbursement for Sam’s Club Card </span></li>\n<li><span>Holiday pay after 30 days of service</span></li>\n<li><span>Paid Time off</span></li>\n<li><span>401(k) with Employer Match Contribution after 6 months</span></li>\n<li><span>Employer paid renewal of Medical Examiner's Certificate</span></li>\n</ul>",
