We are seeking professional and dedicated individuals to be part of our team, where integrity, respect, accountability, and collaboration are among our core principles.</p><p>We offer our employees competitive compensation and benefits, flexibility and opportunity for growth and advancement.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, and other specimens.</li><li>Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures.</li><li>Ensures operation of analyzers, and other laboratory equipment by calibrating; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer&#39;s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories.</li><li>Maintains laboratory supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.</li><li>Provides medical technology information by answering questions and requests by Providers.</li><li>Prepares reports of technological findings by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.</li><li>Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.</li><li>Maintains inter- and intradepartmental work flow by fostering a spirit of cooperation.</li><li>Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.</li><li>Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control and hazardous waste policies and protocols; following identification procedures.</li><li>Maintains patient confidence and protects the Laboratory by keeping information confidential.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s / Associates Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology from a program registered by the NYS Department of Education or Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in the major of biology, chemistry or physical sciences from an accredited college or university.</li><li>One year in a clinical laboratory (Completion of an internship program at a qualified institution is acceptable).</li><li>License as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist/Technician by the State of New York based on the on the Special Provision of the Regulations of the Commissioner in accordance with the Clinical Laboratory Technology Practice Act.</li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills required.</li><li>Proficient computer skills.</li><li>ASCP registry preferred.</li><li>Multitasking abilities and flexibility are a plus</li><li>Clinical Lab Technologist / Technician -NYS Licensed&nbsp;</li></ul><div><p><br></p></div><p>ProHEALTH strives to maintain a workplace that accepts and appreciates the differences among our employees.
