We believe in teamwork, integrity, and doing things right the first time.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the Role</span></span></p>\n<p>As our <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Finance Manager</span>, you’ll be responsible for keeping our financial systems in top shape and ensuring our reporting is accurate and reliable. You’ll work closely with our CEO, branch managers, and external accountants, while leading a small, capable team who keep things running day to day.</p>\n<p>Here’s a bit of what your week might look like:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overseeing accounts payable, receivable, and tax compliance (GST, PAYE, FBT, ACC)</li>\n<li>Preparing budgets, financial reports, and cash flow forecasts</li>\n<li>Managing daily banking and cash flow to keep things on track</li>\n<li>Supporting year-end reporting with external accountants</li>\n<li>Providing financial advice and insights to the CEO and branch managers</li>\n<li>Maintaining accounting systems, policies, and internal controls</li>\n<li>Leading, mentoring, and supporting your finance team</li>\n<li>Driving process improvements to ensure accuracy and efficiency</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About You</span></span></p>\n<p>You’ll bring a mix of technical accounting expertise, commercial acumen, and leadership capability. You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves when needed, but also confident providing financial insight at a strategic level.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills We’re Looking For:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong analytical and financial management skills</li>\n<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities</li>\n<li>Proven leadership with the ability to motivate and develop a small team</li>\n<li>Attention to detail and a proactive, results-driven approach</li>\n<li>Ability to work flexibly to meet deadlines and business needs</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications and Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Appropriate tertiary qualification in Accounting</li>\n<li>Membership of a professional accounting body (CAANZ or similar) preferred</li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years’ commercial accounting experience</li>\n<li>Experience in wholesaling, retail, or a similar industry is an advantage</li>\n<li>Proficiency in NetSuite and Microsoft Office Suite preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid New Zealand driver’s license</li>\n<li>Successful completion of criminal and health pre-employment checks</li>\n<li>Applicants must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Join Us?</span></p>\n<p>At Advance Electrical Wholesalers, you’ll join a supportive and values-driven team that takes pride in what we do.
