Discover all the possibilities of a career at Northside today.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Operates ultrasound scanning equipment to produce records of designated portions of the human anatomy of infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.  </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Requirements for Ultrasound Technologists</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Initial Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certified or eligible for certification by:</li>\n</ul>\n<p>       American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS),</p>\n<p>                      <strong>OR</strong></p>\n<p>American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography (ARRT) (S).</p>\n<p>                      <strong>OR</strong></p>\n<p>        Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>All sonographers <strong>must</strong> obtain certification within one year of hire date or cross training.)</li>\n <li>Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or obtain within 90 days of employment</li>\n</ul>\n<p>                                   </p>\n<p><strong>Continuing Education </strong></p>\n<p>Sonographers must be in compliance with the ARDMS, ARDMS, ARRT or CCI requirements for continuing education appropriate to their practices</p>\n<p><strong><u> </u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Requirements for Vascular Technologists</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Initial Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>ARDMS certification in vascular technology RVT</li>\n <li>ARRT certification in vascular technology RT (VS)</li>\n <li>CCI certification in vascular technology RVS</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Continuing Education </strong></p>\n<p>Sonographers must be in compliance with the ARDMS, ARRT or CCI requirements for continuing education appropriate to their practices</p>\n<p><strong><u> </u></strong></p>\n<p><strong>Requirements for Sonographer or Mammography Technologist – Breast Ultrasound</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Initial Qualifications</strong></p>\n<p>ARDMS certification and current registration, <strong>or</strong></p>\n<p>ARRT post-primary certification and current registration in breast sonography, <strong>or</strong></p>\n<p>ARRT certification and current registration <strong>and</strong> MQSA qualified</p>\n<p><strong>AND</strong></p>\n<p><strong><em>5 CEUs</em></strong> specific to breast ultrasound </p>\n<p>Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or obtain within 90 days of employment</p>\n<p><strong>Continuing Experience</strong></p>\n<p> Regular performance of breast ultrasound exams</p>\n<p><strong>Continuing Education </strong></p>\n<p> Registered Technologists</p>\n<ul>\n <li>In compliance with the CE requirements of their certifying organization for the imaging modality in which they perform services </li>\n <li>CE includes credits pertinent to the technologist’s ACR accredited clinical practice</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Preferred:</p>\n<p>Graduate from an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology</p>\n<p>Prior experience in ultrasound</p>\n<h2>Work Hours:</h2>8:00 -1700",
