    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>X-Ray Field Service Technician</strong></p><p><strong>Why Nikon Metrology?</strong></p><p>You would be joining a global company and becoming part of the future, giving you the opportunity to enter a career where you can help to shape and define innovation.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Job Purpose:</u></strong></p><p>Nikon Metrology is seeking an experienced X-ray Field Service Technician responsible for providing technical services both local and in the field, such as installation, maintenance, repair and upgrade specific to Nikon Metrology X-ray product line.&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Location:</u></strong> Remote &ndash; Minnesota&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Travel Requirement</u></strong><u>:</u> Extensive (80%+) primarily throughout North America, with possibility of limited international travel to Central and South America.</p><p><strong><u>Key Areas of Responsibility&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>Will Include, but not limited to the following:</p><p><strong>Field Service</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Perform system installations, preventive maintenance, upgrades, etc.</li><li>Troubleshoot system failures/errors and perform necessary corrective actions.</li><li>Perform product maintenance and software training as necessary.</li><li>Provide technical product services for Nikon Metrology X-ray products in line with the department&rsquo;s standard operating procedures.</li><li>In-house testing and repairs of spare parts and systems.&nbsp;</li><li>Support of equipment at customer location or via telephone/ e-mail.&nbsp;</li><li>Responsible for the return of parts and tools from site upon completion of work.</li><li>Maintain assigned service equipment and tools &amp; provide inventory reports as needed.&nbsp;</li><li>Submit Timesheets, expense reports, Service reports and associated documentation in a timely manner.&nbsp;</li><li>Submit radiation dosimetry data periodically in line with company policy. <strong>&nbsp;</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Sales Support</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Provide support to Nikon dealers, sales personnel, and fellow Field Service Technicians.</li><li>Assist sales with setup and teardown of equipment for trade shows.</li><li>Support the technical sales of new products or services.&nbsp;</li><li>Promote service contracts and other service offerings to customers.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Functional Competencies:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to effectively perform field service job duties under pressure while always maintaining quality and professionalism.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to communicate well and appropriately in a customer-facing environment.&nbsp;</li><li>Entry level MS Office Skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings.</li><li>Ability to integrate and troubleshoot computer hardware and software.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to use tools of the trade such as Multimeter, Oscilloscope, soldering iron, basic hand tools, etc.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong><u>Qualifications:</u></strong></p><p><strong>Essential:</strong></p><p>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must meet all requirements to access and work with ITAR-controlled information and materials.</li><li>Ability to travel 80%+ domestically with possibility of limited international travel.</li><li>&nbsp;2+ years&rsquo; experience in a technical role or &gt;4 years&rsquo; experience in a technical role.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience on complex capital equipment with related subsystems such as vacuum, manipulators, High Voltage systems, general mechanical, and PC&rsquo;s.</li><li>Must be able to identify and fix issues down to a board level.&nbsp;</li><li>Electrical, electronic &amp; mechanical skills.</li><li>Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work overtime (This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Certificates, License, Registrations:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>2-year technical degree &amp; a minimum of 2 years&rsquo; experience in a technical role or &gt;4 years&rsquo; experience in a technical role.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and ability to be insured.</li><li>Valid passport and ability to travel outside of the United States.</li></ul><p><strong>Working Environment/Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds&nbsp;</li><li>Able to access tight spaces as required such as inside the cabinet.</li><li>80%+ travel, domestic and limited international</li></ul><p><strong>How We Take Care of Our Team</strong></p><p><strong><u>Culture Spirit</u></strong></p><p>Work as a Team, Act as a Family!
