Overview K&L Wine Merchants is entering a critical phase of growth and operational scaling across the organization, where building high-performing teams is essential to long-term success. We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner who will operate as both a strategic partner and hands-on execution leader, responsible for driving hiring outcomes aligned to business priorities. In this role you will bring structure, consistency and discipline to the hiring process while partnering closely with stakeholders across the organization to meet their hiring goals. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will play a key role in building a best-in-class recruiting function, shaping how the organization attracts, evaluates and hires salaried and hourly talent across corporate, retail and fulfillment environments. This role is ideal for a recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment, is comfortable managing diverse requisitions across levels and is motivated by the opportunity to build and scale recruiting within a growing, operationally complex business. This is a high-impact opportunity to establish foundational recruiting processes, elevate hiring manager capability and directly influence how K&L scales its workforce. You will be the company's first internal recruiting partner. Key Responsibilities End-to-End Recruiting Execution: Own full-cycle recruiting across corporate, retail and fulfillment roles Manage multiple concurrent searches with urgency and prioritization Deliver a consistent, high-quality candidate experience Hiring Strategy & Workforce Alignment Partner with leaders to translate business needs into hiring plans Align recruiting activity with approved headcount and staffing priorities Provide market insight on talent availability, competitiveness, and timelines Process Design & Operational Excellence Build and maintain structured hiring processes (interview stages, panels, scorecards) Drive consistency, speed and quality of hiring decisions Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and outcomes Sourcing & Pipeline Development Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, outreach, and job boards Build and maintain pipelines for recurring and critical roles Leverage modern sourcing tools, including AI-enabled solutions Hiring Manager Partnership Align with managers on role scope, candidate profiles, and success criteria Coach interviewers on effective evaluation and decision-making Reinforce accountability to hiring standards and process discipline Retail & Fulfillment Hiring Lead high-volume hiring for store and warehouse operations Respond to dynamic workforce needs driven by turnover and business changes Support seasonal hiring to ensure operational readiness during peak periods Data, Metrics & Reporting Own recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline health, conversion rates) Maintain ATS integrity (Paylocity) and ensure accurate reporting Provide regular hiring updates and actionable insights to stakeholders Ensure recruiting compliance with federal, state and city regulations across multiple jurisdictions. Core Competencies Technical & Operational Excellence - Strong understanding of talent markets, ongoing talent trends and be a result driven Project Management & Organization - Exceptional ability to manage competing priorities Analytical & Problem-Solving - Ability to diagnose issues and implement solutions quickly Communication & Partnership - Clear communicator with strong ability to partner across functions Integrity & Confidentiality - Exercises excellent judgment and maintains confidentiality Adaptability & Initiative - Resourceful, proactive and thrives in fast-paced environments. Ability to source talent proactively and ensure quality candidate pool Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business or related field 3-5 years of full cycle recruiting experience in fast paced experience Experience hiring across both corporate salaried roles and hourly associate level roles Experience hiring in retail, hospitality, warehouse and e-commerce environments -highly preferred Strong sourcing capabilities (LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Proactive outreach etc) Experience in CA and NY markets Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organization and follow-through Proven experience building a Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Experience with HRIS and ATS platforms (Paylocity, BambooHR, JobScore or similar)
