Our mission is to consistently provide the ultimate solution for high-value working environments through continuous investment in our people, technology, and processes.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job purpose</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>- Undertake the lead role on design &amp; build projects throughout the Pre-Construction stage.<br>- Ensure that the pre-construction elements of the projects are delivered to the highest quality, on schedule and within budget.<br>- Understand company obligations regarding Fire regulations, DAC and BCaR, etc.<br>- Support and guide the Design Team on the project including any immediate escalations or technical issues.<br>- Manage the successful completion of the design, planning, commercial and procurement related deliverables during the pre-construction phase, ensuring all allocated resources are working effectively.<br>- Identify value-engineering opportunities for consideration and inclusion.<br>- Communicate the design progress to the wider project team and actively remove roadblocks for the Design Team.<br>- Ensure a smooth handover from the pre-construction phase onto the construction phase.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties and responsibilities</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Responsible for:   </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>- Act as the project lead and represent Ardmac as our point of contact during the pre-construction phase of the project.<br>- Review Project(s) specification and scope and support the design team in the development of the project deliverables.<br>- In conjunction with the design managers, develop, agree and manage project(s) design budgets and programme.<br>- Report output and productivity against agreed targets on a weekly basis.<br>- Assist the design team in generating and managing the technical aspects of sub-contractor packages.<br>- Ensure QAQC checks are in place for the project design deliverables and ensure that Ardmac standards and Quality levels are being achieved.<br>- Arranging and managing the design review workshops as the design develops from BOD through to IFC.<br>- Managing the close out of all comments generated during the design reviews via a comment tracker. <br>- Ensure that project RFIs are being closed out as quickly as required so as not to impact on programme.<br>- Track all items on the project through the Procurement Schedule identifying Long-Lead items and flagging any program related concerns. <br>- Ensuring that buyers/QS are procuring materials/sub-cons in line with the programme. <br>- Oversee the development of the project programme/schedule to ensure this is being developed properly by the planner and to the required level of detail ahead of construction commencement. <br>- Escalating any items which have not been resolved and which will impact on cost or programme in a timely manner. <br>- Lead relevant design coordination and progress meetings<br>- Assistance in preparation of tender proposals<br>- Protect company contractual position at design stage with surveyor.<br>- Protecting the company’s interest via correspondence to the Design Team and sub-contractors.<br>- Support in the development and improvement of the processes to maximize efficiency and lean working practices<br>- Ultimately ensuring the pre-construction process is completed efficiently and effectively and so providing all necessary information to the construction team to ensure a successful delivery of the project on site. <br></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications and experience</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Qualifications:</p>\n<p>Engineering or Architectural qualification</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Ability and knowledge of:</p>\n<p>Problem solving<br>Effective Leadership<br>Lean Practices<br>People Management<br>BIM – Autodesk Revit, Navisworks &amp; AutoCAD<br>Client facing</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What we offer</span><br>There are many benefits to working with Ardmac.
