This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who can drive projects from concept through construction while mentoring junior engineering staff and interfacing with clients. You will serve as a technical lead and project manager, responsible for the quality, coordination, and successful execution of electrical designs including medium and low voltage power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, lightning protection, and grounding systems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Dewberry is a leading, market-facing professional services firm with more than 60 locations and 2,500 professionals nationwide. Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.</em></p>\n<h2>Required Skills & Required Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree, from an ABET accredited university.</li>\n <li>10-15+ years of experience in related electrical engineering design and construction support services.</li>\n <li>Professional Engineer license in New York/New Jersey is required.</li>\n <li>Depth of knowledge of NY City, NY State, and national codes and standards is required.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated success as a Senior Project Level Engineer with (Electrically oriented] Project Management experience.</li>\n <li>Experience in design medium and low voltage power distribution (480V – 15kV preferred), lighting / lighting control systems, emergency / standby power systems and generators, fire alarm, lightning protection, and grounding systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional (buildings) facilities and rail stations.</li>\n <li>Experience with Con Edison and other Electric Power Utility Companies.</li>\n <li>Solid leadership and communication skills and take ownership of projects, tasks, etc.</li>\n <li>The ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple projects including deadlines.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and coordinate the work of multiple disciplines.</li>\n <li>Experience managing projects with 2-3 engineers for Electrical Systems with construction costs in the $1 MM - $8MM range.</li>\n <li>Excited to mentor younger staff both technically and professionally to help them grow within Dewberry</li>\n <li>Conduct site visits, field inspections and prepare assessment reports of electrical systems.</li>\n <li>Prepare electrical design drawings and specifications for the assigned projects.</li>\n <li>AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred but not required.</li>\n <li>Experience in management of production of projects in BIM Revit preferred.</li>\n <li>Knowledge and experience of electrical engineering software’s such as Visual Lighting, AGI32, SKM Power Systems Analysis, etc. is required.</li>\n <li>Proficiency using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel required.</li>\n <li>Driving is a requirement of the position.
