Instructs gymnastics to members within the programs.&nbsp;</p><p>2. Follows lesson plans for recreational lessons.&nbsp;</p><p>3. Attends staff meetings as needed.&nbsp;</p><p>4. Maintain accurate attendance in all classes.&nbsp;</p><p>5. Monitor gymnastics equipment for safety, maintenance, and replacement needs.&nbsp;</p><p>6. Fill out accident reports if necessary.&nbsp;</p><p>7. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>1. Ability to provide a fun and safe atmosphere for children of all ages.</p><p>2. Understanding of beginner gymnastics and USAG progressions.</p><p>3. Ability to think creatively and with an open mind with regard to programming and instruction&nbsp;</p><p>4. Ability to communicate effectively, establish rapport with participants and their parents, be a team player in the organization, and exercise good judgement&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>1. High school diploma preferred, but high school students with excellent gymnastics experience are encouraged to apply&nbsp;</p><p>2. One to three years working with children in a recreation and/or instructional setting.&nbsp;</p><p>3. USAG Certification preferred. Willingness to earn certification within one year of start.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS&nbsp;</strong></p><p>1. Work requires standing, walking, bending, spotting, lifting, and repetitive motion.</p><p><strong>WORK SCHEDULE</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>Work schedule will vary depending on needs of program.
