    "description": "<h2>Working Hours/Days</h2>Monday - Friday 6:30A - 3:00P Overtime as needed\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Altorfer Industries, Inc is seeking out a professional Journey Technician at our Mokena, IL location. The scope of this position is to perform service repairs to include components and other general repairs, troubleshooting and maintenance; providing superior service and representing Altorfer’s professional image.</p>\n<h2>Basic Duties</h2>\n<p><strong>PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILIITIES (including, but not limited to):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Utilize safe work practices while adhering to all company policies and procedures related to Safety.</li>\n <li>Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, with excellent work ethic, neat appearance and good communication skills. Candidate needs to uphold full ownership of job.</li>\n <li>Ability to properly and completely fill out all service reports, inspection checklists and labor entries within department guidelines.</li>\n <li>Completes all paperwork before moving on to next job; communicates extra time needed to complete tasks to supervisor.</li>\n <li>Ability to use SIS2.0, ET, parts and service manuals.</li>\n <li>Properly segment jobs and order parts accordingly.</li>\n <li>Return unneeded parts immediately upon job completion, complete all necessary warranty documentation and send completed follow up forms on a timely basis.</li>\n <li>Effectively communicate job status to customers and office personnel.</li>\n <li>Works in an efficient and timely manner.</li>\n <li>Capable of in-depth electrical, hydraulic and powertrain related troubleshooting using prescribed tooling, guidelines and documentation.</li>\n <li>Maintain Altorfer supplied tooling and equipment, including personal tooling.</li>\n <li>Technician may be required to orchestrate special parts arrangements to ensure that downtime is reduced as much as possible. </li>\n <li>Perform mechanical work relating to the business of the department.</li>\n <li>Keep current with industry standards and company provided training.</li>\n <li>Redos or excessive labor do not exceed 1% of total labor hours worked and no cases occur where the customer or company’s equipment is damaged due to technician’s neglect or abuse.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:</strong> High School Diploma or equivalent, five years Heavy Equipment experience is a must. Proficient with Excel and email. Accredited schooling is a plus.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>SKILLS/ABILITIES:</strong></p>\n<p>Ability to perform high quality repairs in an efficient fashion, and maintain a clean working environment while working in the shop. Must be able to work independently. Ability to use resources for information (when written documentation is not available). Has good decision making practices and ability to follow directions . Demonstrates effective communication while representing Altorfer’s professional image to customers and office personnel. Must have good organizational skills and ability to write technical reports. May work in the field or jobsites as needed. May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 100lbs. At times you may be required to move/operate equipment to figure out what maintenance needs to be performed. The noise level in the shop environment is usually moderate to high. This position also spends a portion of time in an office environment. May, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Must be flexible to work Saturdays and overtime as needed.
